TP Link CPE710 setup problems

Forums:
I am trying to get a demo AREDN network setup here in Central Florida. I had hoped to get this operational for demo on Field day. I setup a system about five years ago but couldn't get much interest going. I didn't have any big problems in flashing the nodes and had  IP phone and HD PTZ camera links. I have been struggling for the past month in getting nodes to flash. I was able to get a pair of TP Link CPE210 nodes flashed via the PHAROS application. I have tried this on the CPE710 but it gives an unsupportred hardware error. I have also tried PXE but it doesn't load the BIN file.

MikroTik Tutorial

Mikrotik has a huge variety of routers, wifi devices, and circuit boards (“RouterBOARDs”) which all run their RouterOS. They also have some switches running SwitchOS. We will concentrate on the Routers as they are most flexible for what we are doing. Below is guide on configuring these devices to support AREDN nodes and hosts, Pi, phones, cameras, etc.

dtdlink in status display

Forums:

I have a CPE710 node programmed with the latest 23.8.0 firmware.  The node connects to my Powerbeam 5GHz via RF and it is also connected via DTD.  The mesh status shows as shown below. (dtdlink.WA3LAB.CPE710/WA3LAB.local.mesh)  According to the documentation, this is some type of issue with OLSR, and I tried the fix several times, but this status persists.  The node appears to be functional.  Does this status mean it is connected DTD and RF?

PowerBeam-M2-400 Firmware?

Forums:
I have a Ubiquiti PowerBeam-M2-400.  However, when I visit the downloads page (https://www.arednmesh.org/content/current-software) and search for it, all I see is "no model found".

The list of firmware though shows it here:  http://downloads.arednmesh.org/firmware/html/SUPPORTED_DEVICES.md

PowerBeam-M2-400

If I search on PowerBeam, only the XW version shows.

Gl.iNet GL-AR300M Nand

Forums:
I got this little router, and I've followed the steps to upgrade the firmware, per the First Install Instructions in the document. When I get to the "Upgrade Firmware Local" in the advanced settings area, I choose the file, and the device comes back and says it's an invalid image file. I've used the sys-upgrade.bin file from the currently nightly build, the 3.23.4.0 build, and I tried the 3.22.12.0 build. And it always comes back saying it's an invalid image file. Any suggestions, to get this onto the AREDN build?

MikroTik hAP AC3 initial AREDN Loading

Forums:
I've not seen anything specific to the new hardware regarding the Mikrotik hAP AC3 and the initial loading of AREDN firmware.
Would this follow the same process, changing the initial load firmware name, rb.elf?
I have one here new in the box and am cautiously contemplating the process to load with AREDN and wish to not mess it up..

Thanks,
Jim W8ERW

Is ath71 support deprecated

Forums:
Hi All,

I checked the supported hardware matrix and decided to buy a pair of Ubiquiti Litebeam 5 (LBE-M5-23-US) since the matrix showed the hardware was supported (light green). But when I checked available firmware, I see that ath71 based hardware is only supported till 3.22.12. Going over OpenWRT forums, what I understand is that while ath71 targets can be ported to the latest OpenWRT (and Aredn) firmware but it requires work and that hasn't happened.
