Gl.iNet GL-AR300M Nand
I got this little router, and I've followed the steps to upgrade the firmware, per the First Install Instructions in the document. When I get to the "Upgrade Firmware Local" in the advanced settings area, I choose the file, and the device comes back and says it's an invalid image file. I've used the sys-upgrade.bin file from the currently nightly build, the 3.23.4.0 build, and I tried the 3.22.12.0 build. And it always comes back saying it's an invalid image file. Any suggestions, to get this onto the AREDN build?

Thanks

Yes, that is the first one I
Yes, that is the first one I tried. Multiple times. I unchecked the "keep settings" and selected that file. And it came back as the "image was not valid" and would not let me proceed any further.

Hi, Jim:
I have two GL-iNet-AR300M16-Ext upgraded to AREDN firmware.
I have no experience with a GL-iNet-300M-nand.
I suggest that you review the U-boot instructions at the Subject URL.
Good luck,
Chuck

I see in the Supported
I see in the Supported Devices list that model is listed as "untested".  I guess you just tested it.

Latest nightly?
Very recently, there were some updates to this product.  It's not clear that they were included in the nightly build you tried to install.  Suggest trying the latest nightly build.   Hope it resolves the issue...

Ok, will try the latest
Ok, will try the latest nightly build and if that doesn't work, I'll try the u-boot instructions mentioned. I'll let you know once I get a chance to do one or both.

UPDATE: Working, but something I haven't seen before
I figured it out. the firmware that came installed on the device was 2.27....i upgraded it to 3.216. It then took the latest nightly AREDN build (aredn-20240411-8627104-ath79-nand-glinet_gl-ar300m-nand-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin) and it works. I went through the setup and then gave it the node name. And so far it is up and running. I haven't attached it to the mesh yet. There is a red bar that says "Unsupported Device" above the node name on the Node Status page. So I didn't want to put into the mesh network yet.

Any ideas why it's saying "Unsupported Device", or should I not worry about that?

Thanks

Latest nightly?
I'd recommend yet another update, to nightly build 20240417.   I'm not sure if the latest fix for that device was in 20240411.
