Ubiquiti Air Router config access

I have an old Ubiquiti Air Router flashed with AREDN.  I wanted to access the management interface but it doesn't seem to respond.  According to old docs it should be on 192.168.1.1 but not seeing any response from this IP when I attempt PINGs.  Once AREDN is installed how can you access the management interface, to list current config or change port VLAN assignment or the like.

No AREDN Flashing for New hAP ac lite ?

Forums:

I bought two  hAP ac lite  units from Amazon on 2023-12-27.  ID: RB952U1-5ac2nD-US.  Router OS was v6.49.8, but I upgraded them to RouterOS v6.49.11.  The  RouterBOARD  current firmware is v6.49.11 (factory v6.49.7).  There was some weirdness with passwords, but that seems to have settled down.  I have been working without success for several days to upload AREDN into these nodes following the AREDN first-install instructions.

Failed Install on new LHG5 RBLHG-5nD

Forums:
Hi, everyone.   I'm a novice/newbie with AREDN and I'm not that computer-savvy.  I successfully installed AREDN on two HAP AC Lites about 5 months ago, and thought I'd add two new (right-out-of-the-box) LHG5's to my hardware. But the initial install fails on both devices. I cannot get the intial install of 3.23.4.0 to work using a Windows machine and Tiny PXE.

First-install Success with hAP ac lite

Forums:

I have been trying to get AREDN into a new hAP ac lite.  After almost two weeks of trying, I finally succeeded this morning.

MikroTik calls the process of loading firmware into a node via an Ethernet port (usually Port 1) EtherBOOT.  Their version of Tiny PXE is called Netinstall.   The setting up of Netinstall to deliver a RouterOS package to a MikroTik node is much like what we do for AREDN with Tiny PXE.  However, Netinstall appears to only transfer RouterOS code to the node.  I tried uploading the rb.elf file, and it would not take it.

Bullet stops login

Forums:
My bullet no longer allows login via the normal PC direct connection.
However, it does allow normal login via another node.
I updated the firmware and it made no difference.
Suggestions of how to fix this?

Firmware flash problems with hAP ac lite

Forums:
Hi,
While I had no problems following the printed instruction sheet for the hAP ac lite, another Ham in our group kept running into issues (based on his computer/network setup?)
We referenced a youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrFvDHgabdo

This guy helped steer us around our issues.

Connect LHG-5nd to hAPac

Forums:
Very new to AREDN and limping my way through. I have successfully flashed a LHG-5nD dish and a MikroTik hAPac with AREDN software on both, latest stable build at the time of this post. How do I connect the two together to make them talk to each other? I have the LHG-5nd powered on and running with a LAN connection to the back of the MikroTik hAPac. My goal is to use the LHG-5nD and the main "antenna" and point it towards a neighboring node. I dont see any clear instructions to integrate the two and or "bridge". Any advice is helpful.

hap ac lite dhcp server on port 5

Forums:
I plan to use multiple mesh nodes connected to port 5 of an hap ac lite, through a switch. It is clear that there can be only one dhcp server. In order to be able to play with different mesh node configurations it would be most convenient to run the dhcp server on port 5 of the hap and configure all the mesh nodes as dhcp clients.
I did not find a way to enable a dhcp server on the hap's port 5. Did I miss anything?

trouble finding localnode:8080 after firmware install

Forums:
per request I have started this as new thread, original post (bottom) and first response are copied below:

Joe, thank you for your response.  the fully qualified domain name yields same error, with Rocket M2 LAN port wired directly to my iMac ethernet RJ45 port, after unplug/close browser/replug/open browser sequence.
