    b. Date Code = 2328k
    c. Ubiquiti FW = XW.v6.2.0
    d. RAM = 32MB SDRAM, 8MB Flash
3. Set the PC
    a. IP=192.168.1.10
    b. Mask=255.255.255.0
    c. WIFI=OFF.

Compatibility of current brand new Ubiqiuti NanoStation

Forums:

I am new here, hopfully someone can help me interpret these names for Ubiqiuti NanoStations available in my country and their compatibility with AREDN firmware. In particular, what does the inclusion NSM2 in the title mean and what is the significance of airMAX?

MikroTik hAP ac3 - Switch vs Mesh Config

I am building out a node and I have been looking at using the hAP ac3 as a switch and to provide standard WiFi (not mesh RF).

Does the Arden firmware for this unit automatically configure RF for the mesh network?

My best case scenario is the firmware will do switch configuration (VLANs, DHCP forwarder, etc) but leave the RF as standard WiFi.

Given my scenario am I better served running OEM firmware and manually configuring networking?

Thanks in advance,

Attempt #2: hAP ac lite?

Forums:
Thx tor the feedback on my loco M5 post.   My next purchase will be a bit more thoughtful.  I am looking at a hAP ac lite (to at least get on the network), specifically a RB952Ui-5ac2nD-TC.  It shows supported on the Supported Devices list.  Is this still a good device to purchase?  And, it seems the "-TC" option implies INTL, black unit, and with vertical mounting.  Is that really the difference vs the RB952Ui-5ac2nD-US version?

No Supernode in Texas?

Forums:
I've been looking at AREDN for awhile and now that I'm in a spot to start deploying it I notice that there's no Supernode in Texas and want to see if there's a need to set one up here.   The space is a data center with BGP and multi homing.   I'd also like to connect to this at home but still need to acquire the hardware to do so, that's soon.

Is there a need for a centralized node in the USA right now?

Current IP PTZ Camera Recommendations?

Forums:
We use Sunba cameras here with reasonably good results, but the model we use is no longer available and their management interface requires IE and a proprietary plugin.   We plan on replacing them in the next year or two.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably-priced, IP POE PTZ camera, with a modern UI?

Thanks.
