I've been at this for a few days, and while I have certainly climbed the learning curve, I'm not competent on this.
I have an RB750up. A discontinued model, but still very useful with current manufacturer FW and OS. I want the 4 PoE ports to run 3 nodes at a site. I have setup a few of these, but just as a basic bridge with no vlan anything. But I have a new case where I need WAN to get through.

Is there anyone that has a TP-Link CPE710 running AREDN firmware that works reliably?  If so I'd like to know what version firmware you are using, and how the node is installed.  The firmware is listed as "stable" for this device.  Our organization bought a bunch of these over a year ago and have yet to deploy them because they do not work reliably.  They are CPE710 version 1.  I have a couple of bug reports on Github but so far ,no resolution to the problems.  I'm just curious if anyone else has had luck with this device.

I currently have firmware version 20231018 installed on my mikrotik. Can I install the latest version (20240624 I believe) directly or is there an intermediate version I have.to install fist? TIA

MikroTik LHG HP5 to Ubiquiti AirMax 2x2 MIMO BaseStation Sector Antenna AM-5G16-120 Cross-polar Isolation 22 dB Min With a Ubiquiti Rocket AC Wireless Access Point (R5AC-LITE). The Ubiquiti is 6 Miles away on a mountain top. 

I 1st set it up pointed where I had a previous point to point and had some connectivity but would be some what in and out. I when ban tried re pointing the Mikro Tik and now I can't get anything. 

After Installing Nightly Build 20240821 - I lost my WAN WIFI connection and tunnels. Screen shots of my settings attached. Appreciate advice to restore my tunnels and WAN WIFI connection.

This is partially a follow up to a previous problem I've been having with a Mikrotik SXT SQ Lite5. 

Following the AREDN documentation, and recommendations on OpenWRT, I was able to successfully downgrade the RouterOS version to the recommended version 6.45.8. I can log into the node via the Mikrotik suite of tools and access the node's settings. I can also change the boot device settings to try-ethernet-once-then-nand in preparation for using Tiny PXEserver. Protected Routerboot is not enabled and the boot protocol is bootp. 

Someone has probably already done a top 10 list of the best brands or models of hardware to start with.

Lots of times you need to work with what you have but starting from scratch, what would be your go-to models for routers, radios and antennas?

I saw a YouTube video that showed a spreadsheet of hardware but the link was expired.

I am just getting started.  Flashed my first MikroTik.
