Ubiquiti LiteBeam 5AC firmware installation challenge - SOLVED

Addendum:  I have been informed that some of the LBEs had different flash chips, something that will be addressed in a future version of the code. Since I sent my inaccessible LBE back via RMA and was sent a new unit in return, it is possible that I just got lucky this time around with the replacement's flash chip. All I would advise is that if you get to "step 3" in my original posting, where the wifi "mesh 2" network is the only option you have for accessing the unit.

Does someone know if the TP-Link CPE710v2.6 will be supproted anytime in the near future?
Or should I concede that I bought the wrong version and buy a different antenna say,
  • Ubiquiti PowerBeam M2 Wireless Bridge (PBE-M2-400) or
  • MikroTik LHG HP5 Dual Chain High Power 24.5dBi 5GHz CPE Point-to-Point Integrated Antenna (RBLHG-5HPnD-US)

Proximity to QRO HF antenna?

New to AREDN & thinking of putting an AREDN antenna at the top of my 50-foot tower.  I have an HF beam there that's plugged into my 1.5 kW amp.  Any experience on how AREDN gear tolerates proximity to QRO HF signals?   Running a Mikrotik BaseBox2.

Rocket R5AC no network?

I bought a used Rocket R5AC-lite. I got the firmware flashed in the typical fashion with no issues. However it now does not DtD link with other nodes!
I have these devices, all have current firmware 3.24.10.0
  • Mikrotik RB750UPr2 setup with a simple bridge on all ports. no filtering, NAT, vlan, nothing.
  • Mikrotik hAP Ac lite
  • GL.iNet GL-AR750
  • the Rocket R5AC-lite in question
 
  • The hAP and AR750 have DtD linked to each other, but neither one can "see" the R5AC.

I want to share some of the work I have been doing at my location.  There are 2 projects I have been working on.  One is with an Arduino that has a network shield and relays (I will save this one for another day).  The other project is working with VLANS.  Most of this was because the driver for my NIC in Windows 11 has removed the ability to specify a VLAN.  I want to share the details how I got around this limitation and in doing so, I discovered Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapters.

I have access to Cisco switches with POE. Anyone using one to connect to your antennas? I was thinking I could use one of them to setup four antennas at my location? Also is there any use to adding 900mhz antenna to this setup?

GL.iNet GL-MT1300 Beryl interface only offering 20MHz bandwidth ?

I just installed 3.24.10.0 on a new GL.iNet GL-MT1300 Beryl.

However, the interface is only offering 20MHz bandwidth on both the 2.4 and 5.8 config.   I'd like to select 10MHz to match the network :-)

I tried nightly build 20250201-9bf147be --- same results.

Suggestions?

hAP AC3, what am I missing

Not able to get this device flashed, either through physical reset or try-ethernet-once-than-nand options using windows.

RouterOS 6.47.8, connected via switch as documented.
-Renamed the initramfs-kernel file to rb.elf.  rb.elf copied into the files folder
-rfc951=1 added to config.ini (complete file below)
-tiny pxe configured per install documentation

"Continue holding the reset button until you see TFTPd: DoReadFile: rb.elf in the Tiny PXE log window."
