My antenna won't take changes.

Forums:
I was trying to update my Ubiquiti PowerBeam M5 XW from Aredn 3.23.8.0 to 3.24.6.0 I select the firmware, click upload. Then nothing for sometime, I refresh the browser, still 3.23.8.0 I reset the antenna and now I cannot do basic settings, I make the changes, save, reboot, nothing. It still Node name NOCALL-etc. It used to be working fine a couple months back, but left it unused for some time and now it isn't. I don't know if is something I did a couple months back, or if its corrupt or something else. If anyone can give me some pointers on what to try, it would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone successfully use a Reolink WIRELESS camera?

Forums:
My Reolink PoE camera works fine connected to my hAP node on my AREDN mesh - but my Reolink WIRELESS camera does not.  In my Reolink app there is no 'Advanced' Network area where I can enable HTTP service,  yet there is in settings for the PoE camera.   Is ANYONE successfully using a Reolink wireless camera with their AREDN network?   ... or ANY wireless camera?   I want to locate my Reolink Argus ECO wireless solar powered camera remotely without any cables.     Ed   K7AAT

Bullet M2 - sunset

Forums:

Hello,

For several years, I used a Bullet M2 on my antenna tower with an omni antenna, and it provided excellent WiFi coverage. Unfortunately, not only is the device no longer working, but it's also outdated with only 8 MB of flash memory. I haven't found a good alternative to the Bullet M2, except for the Mikrotik Groove, but it seems that its chipset is not supported. I particularly liked the Bullet for its ease of flashing and updating via power injectior with the embedded reset button, so I didn't need to climb the tower.

Firmware of the MIKROTIK HAP Lite

Hi.
I am trying to change the firmware of the MIKROTIK HAP Lite.
I follow all the steps, and load Arend's firmware well (https://arednmesh.readthedocs.io/en/latest/arednGettingStarted/installin...). But when it is reset, it returns to the mikrotik firmware.
How can I solve the problem?
Regards.

[SOLVED] MikroTik SXTsqG-5acD will not see DTD connection

Forums:
While supporting the NYC Marathon on miles 15.5 through mile 17, I deploy 8 AREDN nodes every year to send video streams to both race control and to One Police Plaza.  This year I ran into a hiccup.  While upgrading all the nodes from their Nightly builds to the 3.24.10 release, I bricked a MikroTik SXTsq5HPnD by forcing the wrong firmware onto it using WinSCP & SSH.  (I later discovered that I had two identically named directories, and chose the wrong one; so ends my days as a firmware version hoarder).

GL.iNet GL-MT3000 support

Forums:
I've been working on getting the GL-MT3000. It is supported in openWRT, but the wifi scan isn't finding other wifi on the 5ghz especially other nodes I have working on channel 165. Is anyone else working on getting the GL-MT3000 working with AREDN software ?

External Antenna for hAP ac3

Forums:
I'm contemplating putting a switch into a concrete and steel control room I don't have easy access to.  I want to be able to have LAN access from outside the building to be able to manage things from on site but not close to the rack with my switches etc.

Ubiquiti PBE-5AC-Gen2 First Install Success

Forums:
Over the weekend I acquired an Ubiquiti PowerBeam 5AC Gen2 (PBE-5AC-Gen2) device and successfully completed an initial install of the AREDN firmware following the "Ubiquiti 802.11ac First Install Process" instructions.  I was able to downgrade the installed Ubiquiti firmware to WA.V8.7.0.  The rest of the commands went off without a complaint.  It appears to be running normally on version 3.24.10.0 firmware.  The status screen reports the radio as an Ubiquiti PowerBeam 5AC 400 / Gen2.

Rocket M5 local lan expected behavior

Forums:

I was able to flash a Rocket M5 and begin the setup process. When I have the Rocket connected to a dumb switch (through a POE injector) and my computer is connected to the same switch with DHCP turned on on the computer ethernet, the Rocket assigns an IP address to the computer and I can access the Rocket and setup page.
