Ubiquiti PBE-5AC-Gen2 First Install Success

Forums:
Over the weekend I acquired an Ubiquiti PowerBeam 5AC Gen2 (PBE-5AC-Gen2) device and successfully completed an initial install of the AREDN firmware following the "Ubiquiti 802.11ac First Install Process" instructions.  I was able to downgrade the installed Ubiquiti firmware to WA.V8.7.0.  The rest of the commands went off without a complaint.  It appears to be running normally on version 3.24.10.0 firmware.  The status screen reports the radio as an Ubiquiti PowerBeam 5AC 400 / Gen2.

Rocket M5 local lan expected behavior

Forums:

I was able to flash a Rocket M5 and begin the setup process. When I have the Rocket connected to a dumb switch (through a POE injector) and my computer is connected to the same switch with DHCP turned on on the computer ethernet, the Rocket assigns an IP address to the computer and I can access the Rocket and setup page.

2.4ghz Omni that won't break the bank?

Forums:
Anybody got suggestions on a 2.4 mimo omni antenna that won't wipe out my bank account? I was using the Altelix brand but seems they are going out of the antenna business. KP Preformance seems to be really proud of their antennas. The Ubiquiti Omni AirMax 2G13 (AMO-2G13) seems ok but looks like the supplied cables are too short for the Mikrotik BaseBox2. Suggestions appreciated.

Command string for Reolink cam including login?

Forums:
Hi all,
Have been running a Reolink IP-cam 520A for while now, which has meant having to provide login details for potential viewers, which is messy.
Today on the new UI I have discovered that under Local Services/Add Service there is now an entry for a Reolink Camera which yields the following command string:

cgi-bin/api.cgi?cmd=Snap&channel=0&rs=abcdef&user=USERNAME&password=PASSWORD

This is great: it lets the visitor see a SNAPSHOT without having to muck about with a login, because I have already stored the details in the link.

Problem Flashing Rocket 5ac Lite

Forums:
A bunch of Ubiquiti PowerBeam 5AC devices flashed just fine. However, 2 Rocket devices get stalled at the password after flashing the revised Ubuiqiti firmware. These are Rockets needing the XC firmware:

Any plans on how to approach new WiFi hardware?

Forums:
I just heard about this project by chatting with someone online.
I'm working a lot with another OpenWrt fork: https://github.com/freifunk-gluon/gluon
Please ignore my faked callsign, I actually don't have an amateur radio license. Without faking I could have created this thread only as a github issue which doesn't feel like the right place to discuss this topic:

What is your question
I'm curious:
What are your plans regarding support of new/modern hardware plattforms (targets)?

LightBeam 5AC Gen2, install works

Forums:
Hello UI users,
This is an FYI...  My Ubiquiti LightBeam 5AC Gen2 arrived last week so yesterday (22-July-2024) was AREDN flash day.

My radio arrived with firmware V8.7.11 installed so an upgrade (or downgrade, in this case) was required.  On loading 8.7.0, i did get the error message stating it wanted at least 8.7.4 and uploaded that one instead... PASS!  The instructions flagged this so i was prepared.

Hap AC Lite issue DNS or IP ?

Forums:
Hey all - new here.

I've got a Hap AC Lite setup with WAN on my home network - so it has internet connection.  It's successfully tunneled to a friend site.

I am trying to connect to it with a mini travel router - single WAN single LAN -- Lan connected to laptop - no WAN.  it's using the 2Ghz band, channel -2 10Mhz.
default settings.

I can see the Hap just fine - but if I try to click on any services (meshchat) or any tunnel services from other sites - I get a page not found - err.

trouble with new NanoStation M5

Forums:
Noob to Ham mesh here so please forgive me if I've missed something obvious (been trying to address this on my own for several hours) or if I've posted in the wrong forum.

I have a new Ubiquity NanoStationM5. I have successfully flashed the "factory" and the latest firmware. The status page is showing "firmware version: 3.24.6.0" and "model: Ubiquiti NanoStation M5 XW"

The unit is in setup mode and has  LAN address:
