I'm feeling a bit stupid.  I tried loading recent versions of AREDN onto an older nanostation, the version of which I couldn't determine; and onto an older nanobridge M5 that was acting like an M2.  In both cases  the only lights showing are the power light and the red light that only goes off and on.  I've tried the reset button on the nanostation without any effect.  I'm yet to try it on the M5.  Can anyone give me some guidance to get them both back up and running?

So I have this concept/idea for part of my portable AREDN setup (still in development). It takes "inspiration" from when I worked for a local TV station.

On their live trucks was a big hydraulic mast and at the top was a dish antenna for pointing back to the station that could be aimed from the ground.. While I'd love to find one those trucks, I don't think my wife would approve, not to mention I don't have the garage space.

My question is does anyone have/know of/used something that would work and fit on a push up antenna mast?

I recently flashed my Mikrotik hAP ac lite. I am doing this on windows. I got all the way to creating the node (callsign-1). router rebooted but now I can't connect to the node. I reset my IPv4 address to obtain automatically. When trying to connect to http://localnode I get the error below:

hAP ac lite is not powering up via PoE-in port eth 1 tried SW port w/ poe, poe+, upoe ports. 

• New deployment, power adapter works fine.
• Multiple tests & fails on 3x hAP ac lites. (also tested w/ disable PoE-out, usb-out)
• model: MikroTik RouterBOARD 952Ui-5ac2nD (hAP ac lite) 
• Firmware: v 3.25.2.0

Hi, I've gotten pretty good at flashing Mikrotik nodes, perhaps 40+ with no failures until this last month.  That includes ~12 LHGs of various subtypes.   Recently, our local hospital brought me 6 LHG5nDs to flash (RouterOS 6.49.13) and the local club had 3 more (6.48.7).  5 of the hospital's went fine and 2 of the club's went fine.  One from each group refused to load the sys-upgrade file.  I loaded 20240926-5913b09 on the Club's (one failed) and 3.24.10.0 on the hospital's (one failed).   At first I used the "V7" files because they worked...until they didn't.  Then I tried perhaps 5 differen

I have a HAP AC lite that I have struggled to get flashed. I currently have AREDN installed with my settings, but I have to hold reset while applying power in order for it to boot. If I do not press reset then the HAP is stuck (forever) looking for a TFTP server.

I have flashed OpenWRT and I have the same experience. How do I overcome this issue? My guess is it has something to do with the various Mikrotik reset button modes, and maybe protected boot?

I'm part of a group trying to increase the AREDN adoption in New England.  One of the problems we've encountering, and which I've heard complaints from multiple people about, is that the hardware list supported by AREDN changes too frequently, and hardware becomes obsolete before we can move through the logistics of getting it deployed in the field. 

I understand that one cause of this is the increasing memory footprint of the AREDN image.  Perhaps there are additional reasons as well.

Am trying to flash Ubiquiti NanoBeam AC with AREDN firmware. Changed existing firmware to 8.7.0 and copy AREDN firmware to node and wrote the program to bypass checking process,but when I try to load the firmware from the Ubiquiti WA prompt, I get a group of error messages starting with error in line 1 and error in line 17. Had also tried logging out of Ubiquiti prompt and upgrading firmware direct from setup in node but upgrade fails due to not being signed.

I just setup a Mikro Tik hAP AC lite Router I also bought a Mikro Tik LHG P5 Dish Antenna and was trying to flash it similar to the the same was I did the Router but it doesn't seem to work. When I to reset the Device by holding in the reset button the Tiny PXE Server never see the Device. I noticed that the LHG HP5 is on 192.168.88.1 so I mad sure my computer was on that Network. and I had the Factory Firmware downloaded and linked to the Tiny PXE. 
Is there a different procedure for setting up this Device?

As this is my first post here I'd like to welcome everyone.

I’m trying to install AREDN firmware on a Mikrotik board and I am struggling with that. 

At the beginning I’d like to mention that I have some basic experience with that process - 3 running nodes - 2 of them Mikrotik. Thus the problem isn’t trivial.
