Hardware support for Netbox 5

Hi,

Do we anticipate the ability to add hardware support for the Mikrotik Netbox 5 (RB911G-5HPacD-NB)? We have a number of mANT30 dishes we'd like to upgrade to newer hardware at some point but are currently locked to the older basebox 5.

I'm not certain about
I'm not certain about specific plans, but a quick search on its chipset shows it should be a supported chipset, and would likely take minimal work to support. I can try to look more later tonight....

NetBox 5 works with AREDN
I managed to get the NetBox 5 RB911G-5HPacD-NB running on AREDN.  The NetBox 5 and NetMetal 5 both have the same hardware, so I tried to flash the firmware for the NetMetal 5, mikrotik_routerboard-922uags-5hpacd.  It has worked fine so far on three units.  All of my units had Mikrotik 6.x OS, and the generic Mikrotik instructions worked for flashing.

For anyone else monitoring posts, how much or what kind of testing has to be done to get the NetBox 5 added to the Supported Devices list?  What is the procedure for getting hardware listed as supported?

NetBox 5
Tom, the NetBox 5 is discontinued, so AREDN won't be supporting it.
