Rocket M2 XM

Forums:
I have unable to apply the latest nightly release to a Rocket M2 XM.  Many tries and no luck.
It looks like it might be working, seems to reboot once and then returns to the administration screen unchanged.
Initially it was working on a much earlier release, 405 I believe it was.  I had success in getting to take the current stable
release however.  But it will not update with the currently nightly. I stopped counting the number of attempts.  I did use the drop down

Attempting to help a friend with his node. He just purchased a MikroTik SXTsq Lite 2 and installed the latest firmware 3.22.1.0.

We can access the node but he forgot the admin password. We have tried every password he could think of but we can't get any passwords to work including hsmm.

How do you know what version you are purchasing?

Forums:

Hello-

When looking to purchase equipment and referencing the HW Matrix notes, is there a way to know if you are buying equipment with the right version to be compatible with AREDN firmware?

Rocket M2 TFTP Error

Forums:
I recently got a used rocket m2 from ebay. When it arrived i discovered that it was the XM version. I went through the install process like 30 times and cannot get it to work. This is probably the 20th node, and I've also used TFTP to flash Cisco and other devices, so i generally know what I'm doing but am probably missing something really obvious. I tried on several different computers, but Linux and windows. I can ping it, but I cannot get the TFTP client to send the file. I have the factory.bin file.

Rocket M5 Flashing issues

Forums:

AREDN Experts,

I'm getting errors when trying to flash 3.22.1.0 onto a Ubiquity Rocket M5 and Ubiquity NanoStation M5:

  • On both of my Windows 10 computers:  “Connect Request Failed”
  • On my old Windows XP computer:  “Firmware check failed” or it just sits forever

Things I’ve tried so far to fix this:

Change a LAN Port to a second DtDlink Port

Forums:

How do you change a LAN port to a second DtDlink Port on a Mikrotik hAP AC lite (RB952Ui-5ac2nD).

I would like to connect a Ubiquiti Rocket-M3 and a MikroTek LHG XL 2 (RBLHG-2nD-XL) to a Mikrotik hAP AC lite.

GL-AR750S-EXT (Slate) Firmware

Forums:

Has anyone tried the AREDN firmware for the GL-AR750 Creta on the GL-750S-EXT Slate? One of the Gl-iNet forum posts I was reading indicated it was just a newer version of firmware but the same hardware. I'm considering trying to flash it anyways knowing it might brick it, but hopefully anyone might shed some insight. TIA!

Update on TP-Link CPE710 support

Forums:

We're about to start building a fairly large mesh network and having a tough time finding the equipment we need. The sources we've used in the past are all out of stock, or if you find it the vendor is price-gouging. The CPE710 is available, but it's still not listed in the support matrix or in Github. I understand there was an openWRT pre-requisite for support, but there were a few comments at the end of 2021 that AREDN was going to happen soon. Any news on this?
