GL-AR750S-EXT (Slate) Firmware

Forums:

Has anyone tried the AREDN firmware for the GL-AR750 Creta on the GL-750S-EXT Slate? One of the Gl-iNet forum posts I was reading indicated it was just a newer version of firmware but the same hardware. I'm considering trying to flash it anyways knowing it might brick it, but hopefully anyone might shed some insight. TIA!

Update on TP-Link CPE710 support

Forums:

We're about to start building a fairly large mesh network and having a tough time finding the equipment we need. The sources we've used in the past are all out of stock, or if you find it the vendor is price-gouging. The CPE710 is available, but it's still not listed in the support matrix or in Github. I understand there was an openWRT pre-requisite for support, but there were a few comments at the end of 2021 that AREDN was going to happen soon. Any news on this?

Link Quality/Neighbor Quality and SNR don't agree

Forums:
Hi, everyone,

I have a strange question. We have two nodes. Node 1 is a Rocket with a 120-degree sector antenna mounted at 263' AGL and Node 2 is a Ubiquiti dish mounted at around 40' AGL. Up until this past week, they've had LQ/NLQ in the high 80's to 100. Now, the qualities are all over the board, but the SNR chart shows around an 18 SNR. Everything is mounted securely, so there hasn't been any movement. Both are running on 5.8 GHz with about an 11-mile distance between them.

I'm looking for any suggestions on where to start looking.

M5 Rocket Rebooting

Bullet type identification

Forums:
I'm managing 4ea Bullet M2 nodes on roofs and towers, so physical access is difficult.
In the past, the type of M2 hardware didn't seem to matter (or i've been lucky), so i don't have records for serial/model numbers.
It seems that the newest version of the firmware has 3 different versions, depending on what type of bullet it is being installed on.

The firmware chart shows:
Bullet M2 Titanium      needs   aredn-3.20.3.0-ar71xx-ubnt-bullet-m-sysupgrade.bin
Bullet M2 (XM)            needs   aredn-3.20.3.0-ath79-ubnt_bullet-m-sysupgrade.bin

Low memory hardware status

Forums:
Now that there is a new version OS that I had heard takes up less space. Is this still a problem with the hardware that is listed as   "AREDN Stable, but, NOT recommended for new deployments.  (Low memory or non-MIMO device" in https://www.arednmesh.org/content/supported-platform-matrix ?

Is there a means to assign static LAN address?

Forums:
I have 3 different models of nodes (Mikrotik, TP-Link, and GLi) and was planning to add them all to the same LAN.
Once I installed and configured the AREDN firmware to them, they are all assigned different LAN network segments.
I can force them to play together as Dtd partners, but I was hoping to assign static IPs to them on the same LAN segment.
Is there a reasonably simple way to do this? I have not been able to ssh into any of them, so shell commands have not
been a path forward.

Ubiquiti PBE-M5-400

Forums:
Seems all I can find online are the specs for the new AC versions but not the older AREDN compatible ones.

I'm trying to determine if they're AT or AF compatible as I need to change my POE Extender strategy at one of my sites.
