Are there plans to post Firmware for Ubiquiti M3 or M365 devices

Forums:

I've been waiting for firmware to be released for the Ubiquiti M3 (Ham Band) and M365 (Commercial Band) devices.  I've heard this stuff has been in beta for a long time.  Any chance it will be released soon?

Same Subnet Address

Forums:

Is there a way to have the Bullets talking on the same Subnet, so that they are working in LAN mode?  We are experimenting with remoting a Flex 6500, and the computer to radio need to be on the same subnet to work.  We don't want to add complications of another computer or switches at the radio end or other software to resolve. Your suggestions are welcome.  Kevin

mikrotik

Forums:

I wonder if the Mikrotik line is under consideration as an alternate?  They seem to make several UBNT clones which run, without modification, on the "superchannels" and they have a built-in mesh mode of operation (not OLSR though).  On another forum I visit, one guy likes to sign "anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about".  So, in that spirit, I would say that it might be possible to put OLSR into a Mikrotik and configure it to do a hamnet mesh without having to replace the firmware.

snmp

Forums:
I was wondering if one of the developers or some other knowledgeable person could point me to a reference or config file where the snmp objects under 3.15.1.0 are defined. I couldn't find any XX.mibs files on the node and I'm trying to track down some file I can use as a starting point to have a list of useful oids.

I have been working on a small application to monitor the state of a solar charge controller remotely. At this point, I have a (relatively) low cost EPSolar Tracer MPPT controller connected to a local R-Pi

Nanostation Loco M5 (XW) not reachable on LAN port

Forums:
I got a couple of new Nanostation Loco M5s with the XW firmware. I downgraded to 5.5.x, and installed the "NanoStation M5 (XW)" firmware. After loading the firmware and rebooting, I was not able to get any DHCP lease or other traffic over the LAN port. I had to connect to MESHNODE to complete setup. After saving my node name as KG6KCO-LOCOM5-ROAMER and rebooting the node, I am not able to reach the node at all. The lights are on and the node seems happy, but no DHCP lease is offered. I can't ping the LAN IP of the node even if I set a good 10.X.X.X IP and netmask on my laptop' LAN port.

Nanobeam M5 16 software error

Forums:
Hi,
I have installed software on 2 Bullet M5s with no problem.
I just received a Nanobeam M5 16 with Ubnt 5.5 software which checks out "Good/Good" with the AREDN test program.

I select the Factory Software for upload, the upload %counter counts up and I receive error -6.

Any suggestions?

Best,
Sonny, WA9KJE

Air Router - HP D2D w / Linksys

Forums:
I have my Air Router HP up and running AREDN ssid, 16 beta.  Laptop on Port 1, POE into the WAN.

I am wanting to connect old Linksys wrt (BroadbandHamnet) on Port 4 the D2D port.

I cannot see the linksys.  All else is working.  Do I need to do anything to the Linksys or is it plug and play?

Vance, kc8rgo
