Nanostation wind/ice survivability

Forums:
I have a 7200' mountain site I'd like to mount a Nanostation M5 on.  It will serve the area I need, I have one, and it is cheaper than putting up a sector antenna plus Rocket M5.   But... the AM-5G17-90 sector antenna's specs include "wind survivability" data... and I find no such info on the Nanostation.  Can anyone tell me whether the Nanostation can survive the wind/ice of a mountain top site?  Or should I bite the bullet and invest in the sector antenna/Rocket combo?

Thanks
Dave

I can't get access to the Internet. Wan Address and Wan Default:  None

I've Lan attached and added Home ISP wifi router info.
I'm hoping to use VA7QU-Hap-YVR as a portable Aredn that we can use at Ham Meeting out in the Park.

RocketM2 with USB port - Untested Hardware!

Forums:

I flashed AREDN version aredn-3.21.4.0-ar71xx-ubnt-rocket-m-factory.bin on an older(2009?) Rocket M2 with a USB port.  The unit took the update, but it shows a banner of "Untested Hardware" and the unit will not operate on channel -2.  It shows the actual frequencies in the channel pulldown window, such as 2.212 GHZ, 2.417 GHZ, etc. It appears to receive OK on 2.412 as I can see my home wireless AP.   The data shown when I click the banner is shown below.  Anyone have an solutions?

Empty wifi scan

Forums:

I've search multiple places and haven't found any similar posts. I just installed 3.21.4 on a new LHG 2 and it can't see my HAP AC. It actually can't see anything. When I look at the wifi scan, it's empty. No AP's are shown. I've tried changing various settings, but nothing changes. I've also looked at the support log and can see wlan0 is initiated, so I think that means it should be working. Does anyone have any suggestions or troubleshooting ideas?

Thanks.

Our group needs additional 900mz nodes. Looks like m9 and m900 are no longer in production. What is the future of 900mhz mesh nodes? Will other equipment be supported?

Greetings all,

TP-Link CPE610 - Low Power

Forums:

I just purchased a tp-link cpe 610, and flashed it with the latest firmware.  Everything went very well with the flashing.  Unfortunately, I can only push the power up to 15dbm which I believe is only around 30mw.  The version I have is 1.  Am I missing something?  I thought these things were upwards of 27dbm?

Thanks,

M5-GPS

Forums:

The node I flashed today is an XM version of the Rocket M5-GPS.  It went well except the displayed range of transmit frequencies is wrong (too low). It reports my other 5 GHz node as being on channel 180 - which is correct,

When selected an operating frequency about 5 channels down from the top of the available list, the other reported that the M5-GPS was operating on channel 3460 (if I remember).  So I powered it down.

UBNT loads the same firmware into the GPS and non-GPS versions.  I guess that is not true of AREDN?
