Flashing Nightly build over ver 6.2 on NanoStation M2

Forums:

Could someone please give me a nightly build filename that will flash over ver 6.2. I have no success to this point. I can't get the UI ver 5.5 method to work either. They always seem to die right at the end of the upload. I have used the TFTP method and Pumpkin. with no success. Is there any thing I'm missing?

MikroTik hAP to Samsung S9 hotspot

Forums:

My MikroTik hAP is set up as a WAN WiFi Client and can join my Netgear home router on the 5GHz side to distribute ntp to my nodes - works great.  But it won't join my Samsung S9 cellphone 5GHz hotspot.  Other 5GHz devices have no problem joining this hotspot - any ideas?  Yes, the SSID and WPA2 password are correct.

GL-iNET as Access Point on the mesh

Forums:
Hello everybody,
I tried to access wirelessly my Bullet M5 HP on AREDN mesh using a GL-MT300N-V2 configured as AP. The Bullet is integrated on my home router through a smart Switch 802.1Q and it works. I made a speed test on the internet and noted a very slow download and upload (1/3 of my normal speed).
Is there something to do to improve the speed or is it a limit of the GL-iNET device?
Thanks for guidelines

Cloning an hAP? or another solution?

Forums:
I have a home mesh equipment set up that I'm pretty happy with. It needs to be physically cleaned up a bit, which I'll do as soon as some new cases arrive for the microcomputers.

MikroTik SW load via Mac?

Forums:
I have a MikroTik LHG XK dish that I am attempting to flash.

I use Macs or Raspberry Pi HW and have been ok with TP-Link and Ubiquiti.

I followed the Linux procedure to step 5 but the Mac OS does not seem to support dnsmasq.

I tried using the latest Raspian but my Linux is weak and I could not get a static IP of 192.186.1.10.

I guess my question is whether anyone has been successful getting a fresh load of AREDN SW via a Mac?  Seems like this should be doable via a Mac but don't see much posting related to the Mac.

Question on Rocket M2 and M5 capabilities

Forums:
Hi, everyone,

I've been asked this and I'm 99% sure I know the answer but I want to confirm. On the Ubiquiti Rocket M2 (and M5) and other devices with two antenna ports (like the TP-Link WBS-series), are both antennas capable of sending and receiving data at the same time? In other words, can both antennas be pointed in different directions or is there a benefit to pointing them in the same direction?

Thanks, and have a great day. :)

Yet Another Ubiquity Model - NanoStation M2 - Firmware?

Forums:

Hi everyone,
Hope this is where I post this? :-}
Two other people as well as myself have googled and looked everywhere (including this site) on the internet for a confirmation of what firmware this NanoStation M2 US is supposed to work with.
"Loco" is not marked on the box or on any labels inside or out. I opened the unit and I do not see an XM or XW on any chip sets unless it is under the RF shield.
On the flat antenna panel inside is etched:
PS1000102A-KA  7/19
1 94V-0
E169497 1942
