Mikrotik SXT 5 High Power now in nightly build

Forums:

The Mikrotik SXTsq 5HPnD is now in the nightly build (overnight).  Also called "SXTsq 5 Higher Power".  This handy little device reuses the LHG 5HPnD motherboard with a ~4" square panel antenna.   Careful to not confuse with some of the older SXT 5 lite devices which are circular flat panel packaging (and not currently defined in the AREDN firmware).

* 28dBm max power
* 64MB RAM
* 16MB NOR Flash
* suggest pricing $49
* 16dBi gain panel

Capturing System Voltage

Forums:
Good Morning Group,

I have deployed a node at a remote site and am looking to see what my options are for capturing voltage. At this time I only have one radio on location. It is on 2 batteries with no way to generate power at this time. Is there something in a ubiquity nano that will allow you to look at system voltage in the command line? I know secondary systems like a Pi or Arduino can do it as well but I am trying to limit my power consumption with extra devices.

Thanks in advance!

Ubiquity Rocket M2

Forums:

I have a Rocket M2, brand new that was donated to me. I am trying to flash it to Aredn using my Mac Terminal on TFTP. When I send the file I get the following back:

Error Code 514: Firmware check failed.

When I log into the ubiquity firmware it confirms it is a M2 XM, which is the firmware I downloaded. This leaves me questioning if I need to downgrade it before I can TFTP the aredn factory file to it?

Status settings in AIR OS are:
version: 5.6.11 (XM)
Device Model: Rocket M2
Any thoughts would be helpful.

Rocket self-contradictory

Forums:
I have a rocket M2 XM on my tower.  When I went to update the firmware, a line appeared that said:
hardware type ubnt (nanostation-m
This is clearly wrong, and the free memory of 46284KB confirms it is not a nanostation.
It would not accept a rocket update.
It did accept a nanostation update to 3.20.3.0, and it seems to work.

I tried other updates, including another to 3.20.3.0
They all fail and say:
Firmware cannot be updated
Upload file is not recognized
Failed to restart all services
Please reboot this node

Is it 'RBLHG-2nD-XL' or 'RBLHG-2HPnD-XL'?

Forums:

I really wanted to find the best 2.4GHz high-gain point-to-point dish to close some links at some sites that already have 5GHz equipment on them. But I still want to spread the love of a 2.4GHz AREDN node in the general direction of that community that we are shooting over, making it easy for them to get on the mesh network. So one of the options on the supported list was the RBLHG-2HPnD-XL. I scrubbed the internet for them, but could find them. So I thought it was a typo and bought the RBLHG-2nD-XL. And then I found out the real deal:

MikroTik hAP PoE port not powering node

Forums:
I've converted it to ARDEN and the UI shows up fine either on WiFi or wired.  For some reason, I can't get the PoE port 5 to power up an external node.  I kept the external node connected to the hAP then applied power to the hAP. During the hAP's boot up, I see the external node lights turn on to boot, then go off.  At that same time, I see a Red LED on the hAP.  When the red LED goes off, then the node lights all go out.

TPLINK CPE610 - BOOT LOOP

Forums:

Hi all,

My CPE610 just got delivered this morning, i downloaded the factory file to flash to the node, the web interface of the tp link rejected it, so did it via the PXE server route, now the node looks like it is just in a reboot loop after taking the renamed "recovery.bin' file.

Ideas?
