my AREDN Air router got corrupted, keeps rebooting

I had this AREDN Air router working for a few months, but somehow it got "stupid".  It keeps rebooting every 25 or so seconds, and it never establishes an ethernet connection to my PC.  The computer sees something, then it reports the ethernet cable is disconnected, and this repeats. 

I opened up the Airrouter, to see if maybe there was a bad electroytic cap or such I could fix.  That wasn't it.  I then saw a header on the board "UART" I connected a TTL level serial connection to that and my PC.  For once I guessed correct as to which pin is TX and RX.  Upon powerup I get:

I want to setup a mesh for my home. I was familiar with it back my Hamnet days, but now want to setup with Ubiquiti devices. Can you reccomend  inexpensive devices to do that with?

AirRouterHP Firmware Upgrade

Just successfully upgraded an AirRouter node to Firmware Ver 3.20.3...  and verified that it's working with my AirRouter HP node.  However, when I try to update the HP node (and selecting the Ver 3.20...Susupgrade.bin file) the Upload box is greyed out and inoperative.  Can anyone advise how to correct this?

Bullet m2hp xw with 1439-cdd1f8e w/ errors on save.

I performed a tftp to my bullet to aredn-1439-cdd1f8e-ath79-ubnt_bullet-m-xw-factory.bin
Each time I try to save my settings on this bullet it returns errors.
After a reboot, the values are saved except the new password is not updated.
 

BULLET BM2 FIRMWARE DOWNGRADE

I've an "old" Bullet BM2-HP  that I converted some 4 years ago.  It's since been in storage for quite awhile.  I connected it to a Win7 laptop, logged into "localnode ..." and up came the GUI as expected.  Trusting neophyte that I am, and having successfully updated a pair of AirRouters, I tried to update the Bullet.  It failed and gave every appearance of being locked up.  Of course I failed to write down the
AREDN firmware version number I had put on it.

Is anyone using the BaseBox 2.4GHz radio, and if so, does the AREDN software allow the 30 dbm selection to run a full power?

Using the GUI I dragged-n-dropped
aredn-902-9566393-gl-usb150-sysupgrade.bin
into the 'drag-n-drop' window in the GUI.
Auto-GUI-firmware reboot started and failed to restart.
I get no DHCP assigned address from the USB.
Cold boot failS.

Mikrotik LAN 2.4?

I have a Mikrotik hap ac lite node. The LAN wifi access is only available on 5GHz. Is this normal or am I missing 2.4?

MikroTik hAP upgrade to v3.20.3.0 firmware

My MikroTik hAP tunnel server stopped working 2 nights ago.  On investigation I found that the firmware was now updated to ​v3.20.3.0.  A simple reboot restored the tunnel connections, so no problem there.  The head-scratcher is that there are just two of us with the password to this device, and neither one of us initiated a firmware upgrade.

This seems like a silly question, but is there something in the firmware that would cause a MikroTik hAP router to automatically upgrade itself to the ​v3.20.3.0 firmware?
