What do you think about the PowerBeam ISO for sites with multiple radios?

Forums:
I've been noticing the ISO option on the new PowerBeams.

Do you think this is a worthwhile option on sites with multiple nodes?

MikroTik Metal52ac

Forums:
Hi,
I am new to the Arden topic and I have a question to all who uses Hardware from MikroTik.

I have a leftover-Device from an other Project. This Device is al MikroTik Metal52AC. It transmitts on 2.4G and 5G and has an waterproof Case with an N-Plug Connector, witch is quite nice for a Node.

As anyone flashed such a device with the Arden Firmeware and Tested it? I did not find the Device on the List, and I really think that the Company reuses the internal Hardware in different Devices.

hAP ac lite update fails with "Bad Gateway"

Forums:
Hello,

Trying to flash hAP ac lite - (RB952Ui-5ac2nD-US) with AREDN firmware using Windows 10 instruction video from KK6RAY.

I can TFTP boot from .elf file with tiny PXE.

When I try update using setup/administration to upload the .bin file, wireshark shows lots of packets from Windows to hAP, then hAP returns "Bad Gateway" and resets the TCP connection.

I have tried:
aredn-3.18.9.0-mikrotik-rb-nor-flash-16M-ac-sysupgrade.bin
aredn-3.19.3.0-mikrotik-rb-nor-flash-16M-ac-sysupgrade.bin

I've tried many times.

Mikrotik LDF 5 support

Forums:

Announcing availability of the MIkrotik LDF 5 in Nightly Builds from Dec 8, 2018

Called the "Lite Dish Feed" (LDF), this device is intended to mount on a re-purposed satellite dish.  The xmit power of this device is 25dBm for only ~$38, very cost effective.  See the specs here:

https://mikrotik.com/product/rbldf_5nd

"The offset mount is universal at 40mm diameter, and the LDF can easily be placed inside it."

need help setting up Basebox2 (RB912UAG2HPnD)

Forums:

Hi,

I have been unable to connect to my new basebox via the browser interface (192.168.88.1).

I have turned off DHCP and assigned my computer 192.168.88.10 and still cannot connect via wifi

Winbox can connect with the node via ethernet but can I reset device settings through this program?

Trying to find out what firmware version I have to see if I can flash or "wait" for an update

Any advice would be welcome!

Beyond 5 GHz

Forums:
Regardless of the outcome of the pending FCC NPRMs, we in the ham radio networking community need to try to take control of our future.

A bit of brainstorming here (caveat: I'm familar with RF design, but not at microwave):

10 GHz is the next band with enough bandwidth to accomplish the kind of throughput we need to continue to maintain and expand our network.

Pre-Nightly Build testing of upgrade to Openwrt 19.07

Forums:

Device Test status is here:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IyDD_gPC4LLtZGERDQhS8Ix7EDiNjK12/view?u...

Below is the link to the images and packages for pre-nightly build ready for early testing.   Please assist as able to help test.  We are looking for confidence to put into the nightly build.  Please only consider testing if you are confident with loading AREDN images and using basic linux shell command line to return diagnostic information.
