Unfortunately, at this time, the chipset used for 5GHz on this unit doesn't support the tweaks AREDN uses for mesh. OpenWRT does support it at a normal level, though, thus it is usable for local access to a mesh node. In other words, this unit can provide WIFI access to local machines via 5GHz, and connect to the mesh on 2.4GHz.
