NanoStation M5 cannot install

Forums:

I am trying again on my NanoStation M5. I have it in TFTP mode, have tried 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.1.20. Angry IP shows my computer as 192.168.1.5 or 20, and the node on 192.168.1.1.

C:\Users\ckotan\Downloads>tftp -i 192.168.1.1 PUT aredn-579-27f4356-ubnt-rocket-m-xw-factory.bin
 Connect request failed

I've tried fully qualified path name, of course. This is using the windows tftp command. I turned off the bit defender firewall - no joy.

network trace

Forums:

I am having difficulty with Grandstream Wave on a Bullet.  GS support has asked me the question below. Please help me understand what I need to do to get the network trace they request.  Thanks!

"To understand what happens in the background that might be causing this issue, I will need network traces from Ubiquiti that capture the reported issue.

Start the capture and make a test call that replicates the described issue from both sides. When done, stop the trace, download it and attach it to the ticket."

Rocket Fails 3.20.3.1 - Kills LAN Port!

Forums:
AREDN FW & HW Gurus Needed! I have encountered a really odd AREDN FW issue with a pair of Rocket M5 XM nodes. IF I flash with _anything_ later than AREDN 3.19.3.0, then the LAN port quits! Has anybody else encountered this type of problem? Or is there a fix? I have carefully dug through the AREDN Forum etc and have found nothing yet... Specifics and Background: - FYI - I have a deployable cache of two about dozen various UBNT & MikroTik nodes, including several more Rockets (M2 XM), and lots of success (hard earned, as usual!) in upgrading and flashing FW, since 3.16 days.

Not Access Points

Forums:
Native Bullets , Nanostations and Rockets are NOT access points.  It has taken me some time to realize this.  See the note below from Ubiquiti.
Is the same true for the same AREDN versions?

Software or should I return my hardware?

Forums:
Hi, I'm new to AREDN and trying to set up my first node.
I have a TP-Link CPE510 v3.28
I've loaded AREDN version 3.20.3.1 on node.

My problem is I can't connect or see nodes in the ham only channels. (or I therorize this anyway).
If i set the bandwidth to 20MHz, I see a ton of SSIDs all over the area.

NanoBridge in trouble

Forums:

My aging NanoBridgeM2 needed an upgrade from 3.16.1.1 to 3.20.3.1.  I tried to use the Setup/Administration gui, but it seems to have put the unit on a trip to outer space or somewhere.  I have upgraded eight other units this week with no problems.  This one seems to be in trouble of some kind, and it is 30 feet up a tower I am forbidden to climb.
