MikroTik quickMOUNT Extra

I picked up some of these to try.  I do not have any permanently mounted yet.  One of the challenges of the nodes we use is wall mounting as most are designed only for poles. These might work for 6 bucks.  It might be better than a steel pipe, elbow, and a floor flange!

Hi everyone,

It is my first time playing with VLANs and so far I'm not that much successful!

So I have a TP-Link TL-SG108PE switch. I've been looking at this page (https://www.arednmesh.org/content/tp-link-tl-sg108e-network-switch) to start with a basic configuration but it doesn't seems to be right (nothing works). So far you can see below what VLANs I have configured:

NanoStation M5 Can't LogIn

Even though I have no elevation and there's no one in my NW Harris Co TX area close enough to play with, I've been operating a NanoStation M2 with all the Nightly Builds with great success. I had communicated with a Rocket M2, both on the same property, until my HF station seems to have caused it to not work, reason unknown. Could be close proximity to the 80/40m inverted-V at 1500 watts even though the Rocket has a proper shield to ground. But I digress...

Any hope for a NanoStation2?

A fellow ham, just getting interested in Mesh, went out on his own and thought he was getting a good deal on Ebay and bought a "NanoStation2" (not M2) running factory AirOS 3.5 - I was able to upload (tftp) AREDN Nanostation "factory" firmware but it got rejected as invalid at the end of several tries.

Is there any hope for this old NanoStation2 and AREDN?

If not, perhaps there should be a warning on the Supported Platforms page for this model and the similar Bullet HP so folks wouldn't keep trying to use them???

Greetings!

I have a couple pieces of equipment in which to assist with networking within my QTH.  I have a question in regards which to use and really how to set it up.

The first is a Cisco Catalyst 3520-C PoE.  This is actually what I'd like to use since it is PoE compatible. I just don't know exactly how to set it up at the moment. I do have it at stock settings currently so it should be fairly easy to setup. Also I know my way around it a little.

Fixing the Airrouter you blew up with the wrong wall wart

You went and done did it, you killed your Ubiquiti Airrouter, because you grabbed the wrong wall wart and overvoltaged it.  And now it's dead. 

Well, there's a good chance that only the little switching DC-DC 5V to 3,3V downconverter circuit blew up. 
 

How to advertise ip camera ip stream

I'm trying to advertise an IP camera on my AREDN node.  In VLC if I open a stream at 

rtsp://10.68.205.73:554/user=admin&password=&channel=1&stream=0.sdp?

I can view it. When I try to advertise it I'm breaking this up (improperly I would say) as

IPCam | rtsp://10.68.205.73 | 554 | /user=admin&password=&channel=1&stream=0.sdp?

where the pipe symbols denote the separate input boxes.

Greetings to all -

I am spooling myself up on the HAM Mesh world and while being new I am running into some confusion. First of all I was looking at the other HAM mesh website and was planning on using a Linksys WTR-54GL (not 100% sure on the suffix) for loading firmware on to it. This would turn them into Mesh NODES as I was told and be in the amateur band. In being referred to the website here I do not see that listed as firmware or a device.
