Ubiquiti NanoStattion2 with XS firmwareu

Forums:

I bought an Ubiquiti NanoStation2 2.4GHz Indoor/Outdoor Dual-Polarity 10dBi CPE (FCC ID: SWX-NS2, IC ID: 6545A-NS2) at a garage sale.  The software version on this device is XS2.ar2316.v4.0.2.4996.120423.0955.  As such, this appears to be an airMAX ®  legacy product.  I do not find this device in the supported platform matrix at   https://www.arednmesh.org/content/supported-platform-matrix  on the AREDN website.  My newbie question, therefore, is:   Can this device be made to function in th

TP-Link CPE210 continuous reboots

Forums:

Gents,

happy new year and congrats to the very nice work you did and do!

I am Marcus, 37 years old from south-west Germany, close to the black forest.
Actually we are setting up a little AREDN Network on 2,4 and 5 GHz.

We made a short overnight Workshop and flashed several different Ubiquiti devices as well as some CPE510 and 210.
We also set up a VOIP Server and made some easy back-to-back stations as well as some multi stations by using a toughswitch.
Due to our topography we will need a lot of repeater-stations.

IP Camera Recommendation

Forums:

I'm looking for a camera recommendation to plug directly into my secondary LAN port on my NSM2.  I assume that the camera would be powered by the PoE from the NSM2.  Your time and assistance is greatly appreciated.  73 KC7HEX

Ability to reinstall RouterOS on Mikrotik devices

Forums:
No one has investigated, that I know of, the ability to reinstall RouterOS on a MikroTik device.   I've not researched sufficiently to know if the RouterOS license must be saved on a device prior to overwriting flash with AREDN firmware.    The instructions to save this license is documented on the OpenWrt common Mikrotik procedures page:

https://openwrt.org/toh/mikrotik/common

Anyone tried to reload RouterOS and had success/failure?

Nanostation XM Unbricking Help/Pointers Please

Forums:

Hello,

I have been given and have been tasked with unbricking a nanostation.

I'm looking for some suggested pointers links videos etc however I want to determine that the device is truly bricked before
I attempt "unbricking".

I'm also concerned from what I have read that radio calibration data could have been lost in some circumstances and I don't
want to overwrite that in an unbricking attempt unless I absolutely have to.
This is particularly where I could use some help or benefit from your experience.

Can you run Aredn on a Raspberry Pi?

Forums:

Hello all,
I was wondering if there is a version of Aredn you can run on a Raspberry Pi? There is an old, not supported, not recommended, version of BBHN that I have running on a Pi now. I was hoping to convert it to an Aredn node now that I'm changing over to an Aredn mesh. Has anyone tried this yet?

Thanks,

Active to passive POE adapter

Forums:

I bought one of these adapters: Ubiquiti INS-3AF-I-G

It is a converter that allows you to plug a passive POE device into an 802.3af (powered) POE switch.
It is especially useful if you have such a switch and want to reduce the number of passive POE adapters and AC power cords (e.g. Ubiquiti 25 volt adapters).

Ip camera

Forums:

I am looking for and IP camera that does not require internet access to view it. This is for an off-grid location and have a couple of areas that I would like to view I have wifi and a couple mesh nodes and would like to be able to log into the system with WiFi and view the cameras again without having to download any apps so basically through a browser.
any recommendations would be very helpful preferably under $100 per camera would be nice.
 Thank you

New subforum?

Forums:

Randy, can we add a "Cameras" subforum to the Hardware form?  I think there's enough traffic to justify it.

Thanks.

Rocket M2 XW - No ethernet after flash

Forums:
I have 2 Rocket M2 XW (verified as XW through AirOS prior to flashing) - initially had AirOS 6.1.5 on each unit.  I downloaded the appropriate firmware (checked it 3 times prior to flashing the units) and flashed - the flash completed and the devices rebooted.  Now NEITHER of the units is issuing an IP address via DHCP.  Have used mulitple laptops to try and get a lease but "no go."

The units both actually start up,  Green light on the left, a green network light when the cable is plugged in, and after booting, a solid green light on the right-hand side as well.
