Ubiquiti NanoBridge Won't Flash

Forums:
I seem to get the problem nodes to work on in my local area.  I have a NanoBridge that is giving me troubles.  I don't know the history behind the node or if it is an XM or XW.  It does have writing on it suggesting that it was flashed at one time.  I don't even know for sure if it is a NanoBridge and pretty sure it is for 2Ghz.  I wish Ubiquiti put better marking on these devices.

Mikrotik hAP ac3 ... is this junk??

Forums:
Hello Folks!

Well I bought a hAP ac3 router, after some learning curve on getting it to accept the flash, it is finally operational.

I find however that this unit seems to be deaf.. I am operating on 2.4GHz at channel -2. I get 24 Mbps to the existing gateway which is a GL-AR300M16EXT device and 5.5 Mbps to a second GL-AR300M16EXT device. the two GL-AR devices talk at 72 Mbps between them.

MikroTik RBSXTsqG-5acD locked frequencies?

Forums:

     I am looking at deploying a couple of MikroTik RBSXTsqG-5acD for a PtP link, but on the MikroTik web site it states;

"SXTsq 5 ac-US (USA) is factory locked for 5170-5250MHz and 5725-5835MHz frequencies. This lock can not be removed."

GL-usb150 failure

Forums:
My GL-usb150 microuter used to work. Now it cannot be accessed. The manual refers to a reset button, but there is no reset button.
How can I fix this?

Bricked Bullet M2HP

Forums:
I've got a Ubiquiti Bullet M2HP. I logged into the Ubiquiti firmware and verified that it is the XW version. I followed the instructions for a hard reset and successfully transferred the factory image over TFTP. The device flashes sequential LEDs for a bit and then reboots with the following LEDs. 1 - Green (power) 2 - Green (network?) 3 - Red (OLSP?) 4 - 5 - 6 - Green From what little information I can find, this should mean that the device has booted with AREDN firmware. However, it's not listening on 192.168.1.1 and it's not offering DHCP.

No AREDN Flashing for New hAP ac lite ?

Forums:

I bought two  hAP ac lite  units from Amazon on 2023-12-27.  ID: RB952U1-5ac2nD-US.  Router OS was v6.49.8, but I upgraded them to RouterOS v6.49.11.  The  RouterBOARD  current firmware is v6.49.11 (factory v6.49.7).  There was some weirdness with passwords, but that seems to have settled down.  I have been working without success for several days to upload AREDN into these nodes following the AREDN first-install instructions.

Failed Install on new LHG5 RBLHG-5nD

Forums:
Hi, everyone.   I'm a novice/newbie with AREDN and I'm not that computer-savvy.  I successfully installed AREDN on two HAP AC Lites about 5 months ago, and thought I'd add two new (right-out-of-the-box) LHG5's to my hardware. But the initial install fails on both devices. I cannot get the intial install of 3.23.4.0 to work using a Windows machine and Tiny PXE.

First-install Success with hAP ac lite

Forums:

I have been trying to get AREDN into a new hAP ac lite.  After almost two weeks of trying, I finally succeeded this morning.

MikroTik calls the process of loading firmware into a node via an Ethernet port (usually Port 1) EtherBOOT.  Their version of Tiny PXE is called Netinstall.   The setting up of Netinstall to deliver a RouterOS package to a MikroTik node is much like what we do for AREDN with Tiny PXE.  However, Netinstall appears to only transfer RouterOS code to the node.  I tried uploading the rb.elf file, and it would not take it.
