GL-AR300M16 Won't Connect to WAN Port

Forums:

I am new to ARDEN and am installing a small lab network with three GL-AR300M16 routers to learn how it works.

Everything seems to have installed properly. The nodes are communicating between themselves just fine. I can connect to all three nodes with my laptops and can communicate between them.

My problem is that I cannot connect the WAN port to my home router. I get the same result on all three. I see the connection light on home router, but I am not getting an address from DHCP.

Need AREDN Support for BaseBox5 WITH 2GHz Daughterboard

Forums:
AREDN Team! AREDN Help Needed to add 2GHz daughterboard to 5GHz BaseBoxes! Present AREDN FW simply ignores this valuable capability! It seems very obvious that there is great interest BaseBox units, and especially the BaseBox5 at 5GHz, with the addition of the 2GHz daughterboard.

GL-AR300M16-ext unsupported message

Forums:
I have two AR300s, One I bought myself and has been running flawlessly for over 8 months with 3.22.8 and 3.23.4
Another ham gifted me his AR300 with AREDN 3.22.8.0 loaded and running fine. When I updated it to 3.23.4 I get a banner saying "!!!! UNSUPPORTED DEVICE !!!!". Clicking the Setup button takes my login and then a "Bad Gateway" error. Clicking the banner link returns the following. I can't get to a place to load firmware and don't know what to do with it.

Nanostation 5AC loco support

Forums:
Hello,

I see both the Nanostation 5AC and the Nanobeam 5AC are supported, but I don't see anything about the 5AC Loco. Has there just not been testing? I'd love to get one and try it out if there hasn't been. I'm looking to expand some deployable nodes into my pack and think these would be a great size and cost.

Thanks!

Rocket 5 AC Lite compatibility with Rocket M5 XM/XW

Forums:
Hi, everyone,

I just want to confirm that the Ubiquiti Networks R5AC-LITE is backward compatible with the Rocket M5 XM/XW as far as the wireless goes. I'm 99.9999% sure they are, but before I consider upgrading, I want to be certain.

Have a great day. :)

Help getting started and choosing ubiquiti equipment

Forums:
Hey Guys. New member here. I've ben rolling the idea of starting a mesh network around in my head for some time and have done a little homework. I think I want to start with ubiquiti equipment. I've narrowed it down to nanostations (not loco) or rockets. Not sure which frequency bands yet. However, I've seen talk of xw, and xm version hardware? I understand that xw won't work with aredn. Also U.S version/international version? How easy is the older xm hardware to find? Is that what I need? Do I need an international version, or will a U.S version work fine?

Need assistance upgrading Mikrotik QRT-5 from 3.22.12.0 to 3.23.4.0

Forums:

Hello AREDN folk,

I apologise if this has been asked before (I'm sure it has) but understand there is a problem upgrading from 3.22.12.0 to 3.23.4.0 on some Mikrotik devices. In my case, a QRT-5 (model Mikrotik RouterBOARD RB911G-5HPnD). I've heard somewhere that the device doesn't ID itself correctly during this upgrade and thus the process is aborted. I've also heard that there is a (dangerous) package that will solve this identity crisis - but cannot find it.

Any help much appreciated and thanks in advance.

Rocket ethernet port not working after 3.23.4.0 upgrade

Forums:

We have a remote site with 4 nodes tied DTD via a hAPAC.  I decided to update the Rocket2M XW from 3.22.12.0 to 3.23.4.0.  I did it remotely using the upgrade/upload button on the admin page.  The node appeared to never recover from the upgrade because it never showed up as a neighbor via DTD.  I am communicating with the Rocket via a DTD 5GHz node.  So I turned on the RF on my emergency NanoStation(on 2.4GHz at the site) and there I could see the Rocket had booted up and was working, but apparently the DTD was broken.  I waited till the next day, because we have a system wide (repeaters an
