AirRouter HP 5V POE?

Forums:

I picked up a pair of used AirRouter HP's which do not work with 24V POE injectors. They came without injectors and when I attempted to use the 24V injectors that I have, the units began to blink which would indicate over voltage.  Anyone have any thoughts on these?  The underside of the units indicate 5V 2.0A.
Are these older units?  Perhaps old enough to not be suitable for flashing?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

PBE-M5-300 "Untested Hardware"

Forums:
I have just acquired a PBE-M5-300 and flashed it with the nightly build.  It has an "Untested Hardware" banner on it.  From other posts here, I gather that means there may be something different about my hardware than you have run into before.  Below is what the /sysinfo.json page shows.  As you can see, the board ID is0xe3e5.

Access Dropping

Forums:
i just deployed a Rocket M5 XW with an Omni antenna. I have several of these deployed at this time with no difficulties to date but what makes this one different is it is dtd with a Powerbeam M5 400 and a Nanobridge M2. All have been running the latest release candidates and the longest cable run to any single node is about 60’.

Wirelessly connect my internet to my node

Forums:
Greetings Folks, Super newbe here, I have been searching the articles for a few days trying to understand how to solve my delima. I find lots of great articles but they don’t address my specific situation. I have 2 issues I am trying to resolve.

Issue 1:

Access to Blue Iris cam on MeSH from the Internet

Forums:

I have Blue IRIS running on my laptop, MESH connected To a Ubiquiti UVC G3 camera.  Works fine and my Android BI app can see the camera on WIFI.

For internet I have a WISP in BRIDGE mode, followed by a part 15 router, followed by my MESH nodes, then my laptop.
I have port forwarded port 80 in the Part 15 router to my laptop (where BI is running).

I have a NO-IP of KC8RGO.DDNS.NET.  In my browser, a reference to KC8RGO.DDNS.NET takes me to the sign in page on my part 15 router, and KC8RGO.DDNS.NET:80 does the same.

Hardware Bill-of-Materials (BOM) / Schedule

Forums:
I've made a first-pass at putting together a AREDN Node hardware breakdown/bill-of-materials/cost schedule. I'm using this as my own guide for pricing hardware for use with AREDN when browsing ebay/craigslist/etc... Use as you please. Updates welcome.

TP-LINK TL-SG108E VLAN Setup

Anyone using the above "smart" switch in a VLAN?  Any tips on setup are appreciated.

BTW, picked up two on sale from Newegg for $30 each.

unable to find GUI for NanoBridge M5

Forums:

I am pretty much a newbie so you may want to  check my previous submission on 03/04/2018 bringing up a problem getting a mesh running with a NanoStation M5 and a NanoBridge M5 across the dining room table.  That issue was resolved when I got both nodes on the same SSID and required SSID format (no spaces...

AirGrid M2 Limited to 19 dBm Output Power?

Forums:
Hi all,

I recently bought an AirGrid M2 with a 20 dBi antenna and loaded the 3.16.1.1 version AREDN software. The configuration here is Channel -2, 10 MHz Channel Width. For some reason, I cannot increase the Tx Power to 28 dBm. If I change it to 28 dBm, select "Apply" followed by "Save Changes" and "Reboot," it goes back to 19 dBm once I open the Setup page.  I read that the output power is limited on some units to prevent non-linearities, but a 9 dB reduction in output power seems excessive. Am I doing something wrong? Do the Bullet M2 units have this same problem?

TP-Link TL-SG108E configuration quirks

I read earlier that the TL-SG108E could now be used for Internet gateway applications with the latest firmware, so I gave it a try for the project I am working on. At first, I was not able to reconfigure VLAN 1 - it kept hanging the switch. I discovered that you have to define all the other VLANs first, while also ensuring that all ports are in at least 1 VLAN. Then, and only then, you can redefine VLAN 1. Finally, you can assign the PVIDs as needed. In summary:
1. Add new VLANs
2. Verify that your final config will assign each port to at least 1 VLAN
