Anyone looked into the Onion Omega2? Interesting device, runs on a version of OpenWRT, small form factor, and all sorts of customization. https://onion.io/omega2/ Douglas W7ADD
I have been following the build out of the AREDN net from Orange and San Bernardino Counties for the past 6 months. Now that Snow Peak has a node pointed East I should be able to find the signal from Snow by setting up my NanoBridge M5 in a location visible from Snow Peak. I have tried 3 locations and not been able to log onto the mesh. Likely I am not getting lined up properly with the signal from Snow, but I decided to try a test at home. I pointed the NanoBridge M5 at a NanoStation M5. of course the signal is strong between the 2 nodes but still the mesh does not run.

Have three nanobridge units. All three converted successfully. One with xm v5.3 has expected freq./chan range from 5650 to 5925. The other two were xm v5.2 Say:" untested hardware report experience". They have a freq range choice from 5180 to 5485 They work as expected as a two station mesh network. Looking at sysinfo both the v5.3 and v5.2 have identical reports. Can the two v5.2 be brought up to the freq range of the v5.3? Do I need to "report" this some place else? Thanks for any help.
Hello, I recently flash 4 NSM365 units with the corresponding AREDN firmware and have two questions:
Follow ups:
I have a NanoStation M5 (XW version) connected via its secondary port to port 4 of an AirRouter HP. The NanoStation shows up as a current neighbor on the AirRouter node. When I try to access the NanoStation through the current neighbor link, it will not connect. I get the error "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED" from my browser. Note that I can access the NanoStation if I plug my computer directly into the NanoStation LAN port. I would appreciate any help you could offer resolving this connection problem.
