The supported platform matrix lists the GL-AR150.  Amazon.CA lists two versions, one with an internal patch antenna and one with an external antenna.

Will both models accept the AREDN firmware?

Dont know what has changed in the newest nightly build but gl-ar150 node no longer sees  my netgear switch. but it does work. also no activity seen on node lights

MikroTik Hap ac lite issues

Been running my Hap for a week or 2 now without any issues with 1 tunnel as a client. I go to activate my tunnel server and get it working then reboot to apply other settings and the hap wont reboot now with the WAN plugged into the hap. It just sits there and does not reboot. I have to take the WAN cable out of the hap then pull power and then re apply power and it boots up without the WAN plugged in..... I don't get it. I have re-flashed the firmware and still does this. Anyone else have this problem? Bad Unit or did something mess this up?

Replacement Model for the hAP ac lite--- hAP ac lite TC

Sounds like the hAP ac lite TC is the replacement for the hAP AC lite. One of our club members was on a call with mikrotik Canada and they told him this. Same guts but different enclosure anyone else heard this news yet?

We can't be the first to address this.

We are planning on running 3 sectorized antennas and 3 Rocket M5's at one site. Of course, we also want battery backup for it all, including the switch, right?

We'd prefer an 8 port, at least 4 of which are POE, VLAN capable and can run on 24 VDC. As the radios are Ubiquiti, of course our POE has to be 24 VDC maximum. A quick search only seems to turn up Netgear stuff, which is 48 VDC

What's out there?

The attached documents my setup for a MikroTik CSS106/RB260GSP switch. This is a 5 port (with optional SFP) managed switch with POE-in on port 1 and POE-out available on ports 2-5. I wrote this up because the switch is quite different from other switches I've used.  The result presented here is still a work in progress, but it seems to work OK. Comments welcomed. I paid about $60 for the switch.

Hello! I'm very new to all this. Just got started with AREDN recently and I'm still learning about PoE. I've both a MikroTok hAP and a MiktoTik SXTsq Lite5. I've got them both flash. I've been able to power the SXT from the hAP with pass through power. However I've tried a few PoE switches and none of them work. What should I be looking for in a switch that I can connect to the hAP on port 5 for dtd connections?  I've tried the following and none of them are able to power up the SXT. 
  • TP-Link 5 port TL-SG1005P
  • Netgear GS305P
  • Netgear GS108PEv3

EdgePoint R6 Switch mode VLAN setup help

Hello All,

I have a new UBNT EdgePoint R6 Router that though the Wizard I have setup the unit as a Switch.  Now I am trying to setup vlans between my backbone and the Mesh nodes.  I think I understand how to Tag a vlan to an eth port but cant figure out how to untag or exclude vlan1 from the Mesh ports.  I have this type of vlan configuration working with the UBNT EdgeSwitches but not quite grasping the VLAN setup on the EdgePoint R6 in the Switch configuration.  If anyone has had any experience doing this I would appreciate your assistance.
