Airrouter crash/reboot

Forums:
We're running a handful of Ubiquiti Airrouters meshed by tunnels and wireless.

One acts as a 'core', and has three other airrouters tunneling into this tunnel server.

On version 3.19.3 after 24 hours, the 'core' airrouter would get busy. It was slow to pull up a status page, and selecting the Mesh Status button would never complete. Traffic appears to still flow through the device. Rebooting the router brings it back to life. (for  another 24 hours).

I updated to version 3.21.0 and now the airrouter reboots about every 24 hours (not like clockwork).

Freifunk opkg distfeed missing from GUI Advanced Configuration tab

Forums:
Hi folks

While setting up a local package server, I discovered that all of the opkg feeds can be modified from the Advanced Configuration tab except for the Freifunk feed.  I changed it in /etc/opkg/distfeeds.conf and solved my immediate problem, but maybe it should be on the Advanced Configuration tab with the rest?

Thanks and 73, Mike KQ9P

M9 Rockets bricked; M9 NanoBridge updates to 3.21.4.0;

Forums:

NanoBridge updated well using GUI in admin tab.  2 different Rockets seemed normal through TFT file transfer. Multiple reset attempts with factory version behaved the same.  There seems to be no RF out.  ipconfig returns ip address   169.254.182.10.  address used in edge browser returns "refused to connect".
Anyone else experiencing Rockets bricked but NanoBridges update fine?

Upgrade issue with ath79 nightly filename

Forums:

Upgraded my 13 nodes from Nightly 599 to Nightly 607 this morning and had an issue with my Rocket XM nodes.  Here is the Nightly 607 files I downloaded, and the error message that I got trying to use the Rocket XM file:

Nightly 654 wiping Lat / Long info

Forums:

FYI - Out of 13 nodes updated from 648 to 654, every single one lost lat / long information. I had to manually re-enter it after the update to 654 and was able to save it on the first attempt.
This included Rocket M3 XM, Rocket M5 XM, Rocket M5 XW, GLiNet AR750 and USB150, Mikrotik hAP and both 2GHz and 5GHz LHGs.
Has been reported on GitHub as well.

Has anyone else not been able to re-install the tunnel package after going to 648? Tried refreshing, rebooting and reflashing.. nothing works. ERROR: Package installation failed! Thanks Jesse VE7KOD

2 nodes listed as Current & Previous Neighbors

Forums:

The Toro Mesh Status.jpg shows
KE6BXT-Toro-M5R-INDIO
and
KE6BXT-M5R-Tem-11
listed twice.  Once for Current and once for Previous Neighbors.  The 3 nodes (including KE6BXT-Toro-M5RXW-128) have never shared the same channel and therefore never should have been in the previous neighbors.  Each node is running a different channel and are connected dtd.  All 3 nodes are running VERY slow to no connection.  I was able (over an hour to download) to download the support data for KE6BXT-Toro-M5RXW-128.
KE6BXT-Toro-M5RXW-128 is running firmware 634-837a3c6

Problem restarting vtund

Forums:
Not sure how to correct other than reflash with older firmware. I've tried to restart the service without success. Any help will be entertained. Error is below. It stops all Tunneling in and out. Problem restarting vtund Change file from .doc to .jpg in file attachment Aaron

Firmware Update and Package Management returning Error: no route to Host

Forums:

I followed the directions for creating a local package server found at https://arednmesh.readthedocs.io/en/latest/arednHow-toGuides/local-package-repo.htm  My copy is a mirror of the downloads.arednmesh.org server.  This way, the only thing I had to change was the IP address for my web server (which is sitting on the mesh network).  The hardware I am using is a raspberry pi (an older model but it still serves web content just fine).
