I've installed MeshChat on a hAPac currently running the latest nightly build;
current version: 1190-1272c57
hardware type: mikrotik (rb-952ui-5ac2nd)

I've intalled the meshchat package and it seems to work when accessing it through the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/meschat URL.

It does NOT appear on the mesh status page even though it is set up in the advertised services.

I just received the a pair of (RBLHG5HPnD) LHG HP5 units and im trying to load them with AREDN...

I've tired: Nighty as the matrix says too. The unit goes into network flash mode but the .elb must not be accepted by the loader! because it never progresses. 

Im looking for some pointers???? Im able to push stock .npk files from the netinstall program, but not the .elb files from PXE. 


 

GL-iNet AC750 only showing IP from tunnel server node

I recently put a GL-iNet AC750 on our mesh as a portable tunnel client.  It actually works quite well but the only way to see the unit on the network is to log onto the node which is providing the tunnel to the AC750 and then it only displays it's IP address and not it's hostname.  I tried logging onto it and issuing:  /etc/init.d/olsrd restart with no effect.

Am I missing something or this a known bug?

libpolarssl will not install on Rocket M2 (W firmware)

Upload Firmware

Hi group,

Wondering what in the world this issue is that I am seeing with these M5 Bullet(XM) models. I just got them a couple of days ago used. I have attempted to install the 3.19 firmware on 3 different ones now with the same result, the initial configuration will not save (callsign, password, distance) nothing else changed, Save Changes, reboot right back where I started.

Now the latest thing I am seeing is the error posted as the Topic. Flashing these devices have never given me any trouble in the past, well not like this any way.

Downgraded a XM M5 Rocket from AirOS 6.1.6 to 5.6 to 5.5.  U-Boot tool showed GOOD/GOOD.  Uploaded aredn-3.19.3.0-ubnt-rocket-m-factory.bin.  I changed a few items and saved them.  When I try to change my password I now get "Configuration NOT saved!  parameter 'MAC2' in file '_setup.default' does not exist"

I'm finding a lot of older nodes while showing plenty of resources available, won't accept the current nightly release until rebooted immediately prior to applying the upgrade (and in a couple of cases, not even then).

I have an NSM3 with this behavior (with both the ar71xx and ath79xx images):
Start the upload. By watching the upload network bandwidth, the upload immediately aborts.
The node is unresponsive for a couple of minutes, then returns NOT having rebooted.

I have discovered  a bug that goes  back to 3.19.3.0 firmware build. I have updated my hAP ac lite to NB-1366 and the issue still exists. When running a tunnel server, and I change the default DHCP lan server from 5 direct host to 13 or 29 direct  host, my tunnel server will no longer connect  to the enabled nodes.



Otherwise if the lan server DHCP is left at 5 direct host, (the default) the nodes that are enabled connect fine across the tunnel server.



I have uploaded a support file for the device.

Has anyone tried to establish a tunnel between two nodes running nightly build 1375?  We can't seem to make it work.   Sniffing packets shows that the password hashtag is failing (not matching like it did for a short time with builds around 1300 against earlier builds).

My AirRouter is currently located in Las Vegas. It is connecting thru an M2 Rocket on my roof and then to Potosi and on. I just updated my AirRouter to last night's Nightly Build (thanks for some great new features). I have now found a very strange entry at the top of my Remote Nodes List (btw: I have this seen this [below] before on another node from someone else just recently).
