As my bullet has only one ethernet jack, is it a LAN or WAN?

Forums:
Just acquired and installed AREDN on a Bullet Titanium M2, and it appears to be working, and have a tunnel client running as well.  But I may have it configured poorly?  I have the WAN disabled, and the LAN set to NAT, and the IP to 192.168.1.86 mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.1 and DHCP disabled.  The tunnel works like this.  The only ethernet jack on this thing appears to be a LAN jack (when I first tried to set it up, I couldn't connect to it until I did a ipconfig on my PC, and found I had an IP address belonging to the LAN part.   I have it on channel -2 with a 5MHz setting.

Windows security issue

Forums:
Hello all!   I am just getting started with AREDN mesh networking. Managed to get a couple Nanoloco M2s and a Bullet  setup. However now when I access the webpage a Windows Security page requests a username and password. During the initial setup I used the "root" and "hsmm". I changed the username to "k8hmf-001" and a new password. All seemed to work OK. Today my username and password will now work. Any thoughts?

Which Ubiquiti units have 64 megs of RAM

Forums:
I have a Bullet M2 with tunnel and meshchat installed.  It doesn't always boot completely and is very slow.
I've removed the tunnel package and it is much peppier but now I've lost the tunnel.  So, I guess I'll have to buy a 64 mB unit but I don't know what to get so I'm looking for input.

I have a parabolic antenna with an N-connector on it and hope not to have to buy another antenna.

Questions regarding the Mikrotik hAP ac lite

Forums:

First a sincere thank you to everyone associated with the AREDN project for developing and providing such amazing communication tools.  smiley

Now a few questions regarding the Mikrotik hAP ac lite when configured with the latest AREDN firmware:
1.  Can the 2.4 ghz radio be turned off?  I'm using the device as a local node and tunnel server and would prefer to eliminate the unnecessary RF.

NS M5/M2 XW Ethernet port usage

Forums:
Good news!  Thanks to the work Andrew KK4ZUZ was doing on tplink hardware support, this shed new light on configuration of the NS M5/M2 XW devices.  I'm now running my NSM5 XW configured with both Ethernet ports fully functional with LAN, DtDlink, and WAN configurations.  This device has always been painful with a different behavior than all the other aredn devices, but no longer.

Thanks to Darryl K5DLQ adding the advanced settings page with POE passthrough option,  I am also powering an ipCam on the secondary port and able to communicate to it on the node's LAN.

Forums:
Two brand newly configured 210v2 nodes see and play nice with each other.

Computer connected to switch can access either unit. Computer trying wifi connect gets: Can Not Connect to this Network.

What did I do wrong? It has to be a simple error.

Trouble with TFTP to Rocket M2

Forums:
I'm a newby, so I'm probably just doing something wrong. I have a Rocket M2 XW and I'm trying to push a new install of aredn, but can't seem to get it to take it. I was using the Windows 10 TFTP, but the syntax seems to be different than what is described here and I wasn't sure I had it correct. I could either get the Rocket to lock up or it wouldn't respond at all. I downloaded PumpKIN which I saw reccomended on a UBNT thread and it gives an error "Firmware Check Failed" and then the rocket returns to the ready for firmware state where the lights flash back and forth.
