NanoBridge in trouble

Forums:

My aging NanoBridgeM2 needed an upgrade from 3.16.1.1 to 3.20.3.1.  I tried to use the Setup/Administration gui, but it seems to have put the unit on a trip to outer space or somewhere.  I have upgraded eight other units this week with no problems.  This one seems to be in trouble of some kind, and it is 30 feet up a tower I am forbidden to climb.

Flashing Nightly build over ver 6.2 on NanoStation M2

Forums:

Could someone please give me a nightly build filename that will flash over ver 6.2. I have no success to this point. I can't get the UI ver 5.5 method to work either. They always seem to die right at the end of the upload. I have used the TFTP method and Pumpkin. with no success. Is there any thing I'm missing?
Thanks and 73 Dave KR4LU.

Ubiquiti devices and HAM frequencies

Forums:
Hello all:

I've been using Ubiquiti devices for non-ham purposes for a while.  I am trying to start a little ham network in our town, and have access to a city water tower for a "repeater" location.  One of the WISPs in our area has been upgrading their customers with Nanostation M5's (going to AC5's I guess), and so I was interested in repurposing those.  However, Ubnt sells "US" and "Rest of World" versions of the hardware, and I've been told that the US versions are locked and won't transmit on the ham-only portions of the band.

MikroTik hAP to Samsung S9 hotspot

Forums:

My MikroTik hAP is set up as a WAN WiFi Client and can join my Netgear home router on the 5GHz side to distribute ntp to my nodes - works great.  But it won't join my Samsung S9 cellphone 5GHz hotspot.  Other 5GHz devices have no problem joining this hotspot - any ideas?  Yes, the SSID and WPA2 password are correct.

New Hardware?

Forums:

Not being real sure of where to post this, I thought this forum might be best.<br />
In another major forum that I frequent, (Pine64) has several products that cater to the open source community with probably the biggest being the PineBook Pro laptop computer.&nbsp; Recently they introduced a Pine Phone and a few other &#39;goodies&#39; that all are open source.&nbsp; In a forum post for that company they state:&nbsp; &quot;

GL-iNET as Access Point on the mesh

Forums:
Hello everybody,
I tried to access wirelessly my Bullet M5 HP on AREDN mesh using a GL-MT300N-V2 configured as AP. The Bullet is integrated on my home router through a smart Switch 802.1Q and it works. I made a speed test on the internet and noted a very slow download and upload (1/3 of my normal speed).
Is there something to do to improve the speed or is it a limit of the GL-iNET device?
Thanks for guidelines
Leo
