TP-Link CPE610 v1.0 No WAN

Forums:

My TP-Link CPE610 refuses to capture an IP address from my internal router.  I wanted to share my home Internet connection via this device over the RF mesh.  I feel as though I'm missing something fundamental here.  I've tried setting the WAN to DHCP and also tried assigning an IP to it.

Help!

Two Nanostations and common switch

Forums:
Can two Nanostations (one 2 and one 5 gig) have their network connections on the same switch?  I'm confused about the DTD feature in other devices.

Right now I have two Nanostations on a tower and was planing to plug them into one switch at the base of the tower.  Is this okay?

Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,

Hank

Trouble with first flash to Nanostation M5 XW

Forums:

I'm having trouble getting AREDN on a brand new Nanostation M5 XW. I can connect to it on 192.168.1.20 and see the following:
Device Model: NanoStation M5
Version: v6.2.0 (XW)
Date: 2019-07-03 11:20:27

When I power it on while holding the reset button, I see the 1-3, 2-4 flashing pattern of the LEDs after about 30 seconds. But when I try to put the file using tftp, I get a "Transfer timed out".

What controls what types of hardware can be supported?

What controls what kind of hardware can be supported?

Are there characteristics of the hardware that makes it more or less easy to port the software?

Thanks!

Puzzlement with an Ubiquiti Bullet M2 XM and Bullet M2 XW

Forums:

I have a:

- bullet M2 XM

and

- bullet M2 XW

They are both running AREDN 3.20.3.1

The bullet M2 XM will go to a power level of 28 dB.

The bullet M2 XW will only fo to a power level of 25 dB.

Both devices have the red LED number 3 lit.

The bullet M2 XW has the LED number 6 lit.

The bullet M2 XM does not have LED 6 lit (it works during boot  up but is not lit during operation)

They both seem to be running fine, but I am puzzled that they are different.

Ubiquiti nodes from 2014 : migration from HSMM to AREDN

Forums:

I have two ubiquiti bullet M2 HP nodes from 2014.

They are running HSMM 3.1.

Can I just upload the firmware version:

- File: aredn-3.20.3.1-ar71xx-ubnt-bullet-m-sysupgrade.bin

or do I need to do the factory default firmware upgrade?

Thanks!

Remoting resetting ubiquiti bullet M2 XM and XW models

Forums:

I do not find this well documented, and so am documenting the remote reset method for Ubiquiti bullet M2 models XM and XW.

So I will record my findings here and my testing suggests the procedures are different.

We will focus on remote resetting the bullet m2 devices rather than the local reset.

For the bullet M2 XM

- unplug the power over ethernet cable to the bullet m2 XM

- push the remote reset button on the power supply

- plug in the power over ethernet cable

looking for LHG2 devices to test images

Forums:
I am looking for early testing of images for LHG-2nD and LHG-2nD-XL devices.  The LDF2-2nD has an LHG-2nD motherboard, so your LHG should be identical.  I have the LDF2-2nD and have success in testing these images.   I suspect all 3 devices are the same motherboard.    The images are available here (must use this .elf, and not one from a nightly build):

3. Set rb.elf file to load on PXE
4. Press dish reset and powerup.
5. wait 10 minutes.
6. Set laptop for dhcp.
Unable to find the dish on 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.88.1.
