Just wondering if the WAN AP is coming soon to the Mikrotik hap ac lite soon? It would be a handy feature for mobile deployed 4g modems.

The Sarasota Digital Group recently deployed a node (Rocket/Omni) at 175' on top of a large building's roof. We surveyed it first with a Nanostation, with good results to the existing network, but by chance were standing in the ideal spot for the test. The actual install turned out different. There is a lot of cellular equipment (big boxes) and antennas on that roof.

This "switch" is not a "real" switch, in the normal context of this forum, but I'm not aware of anything that would do this function, namely select one of several input/outputs to go to a common output/input.  And ignore the not selected ones.

I have ran across a 5ghz Cambium model C054045C004B radio that looks similar to the Ubiquiti air fiber 5ghz radio. has any one seen these or attempted to use them in ham node use?

iperf3 results for A<>B vs. B<>A oddity

I ran iperf3 from a hAP ac to Nano M5 on the same wired network segment, and got perfect results over and over again.

Then, I ran it from that Nano M5 to hAP ac, and got results that showed lots of retransmits.

I then repeated the test on another setup:  A different hAP ac to a Rocket M5 on the same wired network segment.  Perfect results.

Then, I ran it from that Rocket M5 to hAP ac, and got lots of retransmits, just like the first test above.

I would think that both directions would be the same?

Think I can get some help with setting up my ZYXEL GS1200-5 so I can start my tunnel usage im  in a hole here no hams around to RF into

I am new to the mesh world but thanks to the help of individuals and forum posts here I am making a go of it as a winter project. While researching what applications I might want to try, mesh chat specifically at this time, I came across one post that got me thinking.

I have recently migrated four GL-iNET AR 150 units to AREDN.  Can anyone advise on the following:

What does the WAN port become (LAN, WAN, other)?
Does the switch retain any functionality?  If so, what is function?
