Hello, all...

I am not new to AREDN, but I have a very specific question that I would like to get some help with.

I am looking for hardware to use for a simple node that I can use at home to tunnel into a mesh island with some other users.
I don't need RF at all for that node,  and I want that node to trunk all traffic (WAN, DtD, and Lan) on one Ethernet port, like the ubiquiti nano Stattion. but the nano Station is probably an overkill for my need, and is priced for its RF capabilities that I won't need anyway.

I recently purchased an SXTsq Lite2 and SXTsq Lite5. 
The firmware for the Lite2 went on without too much trouble. 

The Lite5 was a different animal altogether. The factory web interface was a lot different. 
And it would take the kernel install, but when you loaded the system firmware, it would never fully boot up. 
It would come up trying to get an IP address via dhcp. 

I finally figured out what was going on when I noticed on the Manufacture website, that this node used "v7". 
Once I loaded the system "v7" firmware, it worked. 

Has anyone tried to upload the ARDEN system latest software (4.26.1.0) into a Rocket 5ac lite with success? The new software  uploads fine, and works great on a Rocket M5 XW but not on the newer 5AC lite. And yes I choose the correct software for the right model. Pumkin returns with a TFTP:2: firmware check error. Thanks

I am trying to get the download file for the above device but the AREDNMesh page says it is no model found yet it is still a device supported. Am I doing it wrong.? This is a brand new device with the Ubitquiti firmware on it. I just want to flash this into AREDN.
 

Does anyone have suggestions for a simple, cheap, POE, outdoor, video camera to be used to show the concept of AREDN remote cameras? Likewise are there a couple of clear, concise YouTube videos with hardware information that show basic setups?

I purchased a GL-A1300 by mistake, I thought I was getting the MT-1300.  I'm wondering if the GL-A1300 might be getting firmware, or if I should just return it.

I have 4 Alfa Tube-AHMs working 100%.   (previously thought they were bricked)

I had previous thought I'd 'bricked' two, when installing October firmware.  After flash, no response from the webpage, and unable to obtain IP.  Can't remember all the details.  To be clear it was NOT a firmware problem...

I'll say there's many steps that require a lot of waiting:  I may have messed up not waiting for DHCP to assign an IP address.  This took 4 minutes of waiting.  So if anyone has flashed a Tube-AHM and can't get a response:  

I need instructions to install AREDN firmware with MacOS. I've read the  Installing AREDN® Firmware, but need more.

My new PBE-M5-400 is running AirOS  XW v6.2.0.  Looking through the Ubiquity downloads, I don't see much for down grade options.  

I will admit, the UI website is a little vast and confusing.  I might have missed it on one of the passes.

Any input from the group.
