Mikrotek discontinued 2.4g antennas

Forums:
Recently looking for some 2.4g equipment in the Mikrotek product line and found out that their LHG 2g series of dish antennas are now discontinued. I was looking to set up a mesh circuit out in the desert for the Pony Express Reride that is held each year to commemorate the Pony Express riders. The ride come through Utah each year and Utah has a vast desert/salt flats area that would be ideal for such an test area and training ground for the local meshers.  I guess we will stay in the 5g area.

Mikrotik HAP AC3 lte6 kit

Forums:
Is the LTE version able to be used for AREDN? I tried to flash one the other day and got to the first screen to install but it would not finish rebooting and stuck on that screen.

Mikrotik RouterBoard M33 Support Request

Forums:
Is there any interest in adding the RBM33 to the supported platforms ? It's got 16M of flash 256M of memory and some expansion options. Is it a little too open ended for AREDN ? It is already supported by OpenWRT today

Ubiquiti Litebeam M5 Firmware

Forums:
I have a Litebeam M5 that is running 3.22.12.0.  I wanted to get this node updated to the newer firmware to match my other Mikrotik nodes.  I do have the node on a smart switch that allows it to get Internet access (using vlans).  I have tried several ways to update the node:

Need Babel compliant, low cost hardware recommendations

    Forums:
We are replacing an aging, small network of older Ubiquiti devices and looking at Mikrotik replacements.  We want something that will be good for now with the latest Babel-only loads, and hopefully be good for at least several more years.  Hardware replacement of an entire network mesh can get costly so we are looking at the least expensive options; we are considering the HAP aC2 RBD52G, but open to any other ideas.  Also need a replacement for an old Ubiquiti Air Grid 2.4 GHz device for a point-to-point link, again as cost effective as possible but compatible with the latest AREDN loads.

    TP-Link CPR510 V3.0

    Forums:
Just getting into this and I'm looking for the TP-Link CPE510.  A search on Amazon keeps turning up this package for two EAP-115 bridge nodes.  I'm wondering if this is the same thing, just given a different part number for the package.  Can anyone confirm this?

If they are different, has anyone tried putting the AREDN firmware on one of these?

    Rocket M5 TFTP fails *1345G

    Forums:
I've got four Ubiquiti M5 nodes , I was able to get the latest AREDN build installed and configured on them. I cannot get two of them to accept the TFTP transfer. The only difference between them is the two that fail have *1345G in front of the MAC address label. Are these a different model or version?

recommended hardware for a "high site"

    Forums:
I'm currently looking at adding some outside equipment to my existing setup.

My QTH is at a reasonable height and I want to setup as if it was a high site (for experience and it might actually provide some useful coverage)

I am looking at using Ubiquiti LBE-5AC-Gen2 for the other ends of the links (mainly because I have more experience with Ubiquiti and they seem to represent good price/performance)

Antenna wise for the "high site" I will likely use 3 x 120 degree sector antennas but will choose these after I decide on the actual radio hardware.

success with New Packet Radio RF links?

    Forums:
    Hi Crew,
I'm looking to hear success cases with using New Packet Radios (NRP).
Do you have good RF links using NRPs?
There's several flavors available now, including 2m, 70cm, and 23cm.

    1) interested in anyone's experience with the Localino NPR for 23 cm.... how much, line-of-site does it require?
    2) I have 70 cm units on the way.  We have extensive 70 cm packet network, seems NPR on 70 cm would likely succeed. Your experience?
