TP-LINK CPE510 5Ghz (NO) POE accepted on the 2nd Port

Forums:
I was going to deploy a TP-LINK  CPE510 on a tower yesterday and discovered that it will not accept POE power on the 2nd port, which is required to be used for DTD connection.  So, either here we go again with 2 cables - one with POE to port 1 and a second cable for data DTD on the 2nd port.  Unlike the Nanostation XW models which can take power and data on the 2nd port (see another thread on this), this TP-LINK device does not "pass-through" the POE power on port 2 to operate the unit.

Air Router - invalid distance value

Forums:
I am trying to set up y first Air Router.

Made the orignal Flash it with Aredn "factory" file.  When I try to set up parameters in the WiFi column ( such as IP address, channel -2, etc. ) then try "Save Changes" I get a report "invalid Distance Value".  Yes the "Distance to Farthest neighbor" reads 0 miles 0 kilometers and the cells are "grey" in color and can not be changed.

I tried re-flashing with the System upgrade file and have the same problem

please help

AirGrid and NanoBeam General

Forums:
Greetings all,

Are the "M3" NanoStation and "M3" NanoBridge the same radio?

Forums:

See Page 15 of the current NanoBridge M3/M365/M9 Quick Start Guide, "Specifications" in particular.

www.ubnt.com/download/airmax-m/nanobridgem/default/nanobridge-m3m365m9-q...

The reference to Gain shows "NSM3/NSM365" as 21.5 - 22.4 dBi and for the 900 MHz "NBM900"  as 10.6 - 11.3 dBi.

Rocket Coaxial Jumpers

Forums:
Does anyone know of a good source for the coaxial jumpers that tie the Rocket M-series to the antennas?  I am looking for those with SMA female screw-on connectors with the weather-resistant boots.  TIA.

DtDlink port?

Forums:
I picked up an AirRouter, and installed the AREDN firmware.  It's working fine, so far, but I was told on another thread that the AREDN firmware comes preconfigued with 1 DTDlink port, 3 Lan ports, and 1 WAN port.

My question is -- which port is which?  The WAN is obvious -- it's labeled.  But then there are 4 LAN ports.  Which one is the DtDlink?

I've been through the Help file, and there's no designation of any such.  Does the firmware auto-detect a DtD connection?  That's the best I can come up with.

Thank you!

Signal to Noise Ratio data and graph

Forums:
interesting situation on my NanoStation M2 as my S/N ratio no lo longer shows data and graphs allowing me to check and compare links. I am very interested in seeing this now as I just installed several RF Armour shields and want to see the difference.

any ideas? I tried a reboot.

Demo/Test Hardware Question

Forums:

Just wanted to run something by the forum to make sure I have a true understanding of how these work.

I'm working on drumming up interest with the local groups. To get some hands on and to setup a demo, I could as an example get 3 Pico Stations. They all can communicate with each other (assuming same SSID, band and channel)? There is no real concept of a access point or client, they all function the same? Its nice those are low cost so the initial investment is low. Would there be any other sueestions for a test/demo setup that is low cost?
