Any Nodes Near Danville, CA?

Forums:

I'm interested in getting up and running on the AREDN mesh network. However, I live in Danville, CA, and, looking at the AREDN Mesh Network Map (http://usercontent.arednmesh.org/K/5/K5DLQ/livemap2.html), I don't see any nodes anywhere near me.

Meshing in Tracy, CA?

Forums:

Hello, my name is Bryson and my callsign is KM6YMM and am new to this meshing technology but have the knowledge. I was wondering if there is anyone in Tracy, CA using AREDN. I have a node setup relatively close to the center of town. I saw on the map that there is a node on Mt. Oso but have no idea which way the antenna is directed towards. Any help or replies is appreciated.

San Fernando Valley coverage

FINALLY we have some mesh presence in the SFV.  This morning, Paul WD6EBY, Mike K6MJU, Cliff KK6QMS and I went to Verdugo Peak and installed a Rocket M2 (2.4 GHz) with 120 degree sector antenna.  (See attached photos)

It's pointed due west, with 3 1/2 degrees downtilt.  It should see everything in the valley well, with the exception of an area due west of it and extending maybe halfway across the valley; that area may be slightly shielded.

If you're in the Valley, point your nodes at 34.220175, -118.289615.

AREDN Topics at Pacificon

Forums:

Pacificon will be held this year from October 15th to 17th, in San Ramon, California.  It's one of the more significant ham conventions in the western United States (or so I'm told).

This year there will be several presentations on ham radio networking with AREDN software.  Although the official schedule of talks hasn't been published yet, we're told that these are scheduled for Saturday, the 16th:
