Jitsi-meet or similar browser based video meeting?

I have TeamTalk up and running, but it occurred to me that a browser based meeting platform would be far easier to people to use during a real emergency situation.

I searched around and Jitsi-meet looked very promising, but it requires an SSL certificate to be installed. I might be able to set it up, but I'd much prefer to either find a work around or another option that wouldn't require it. BigBlueButton also requires SSL. Does anyone have any ideas about an application or service that will work well for this?

Mesh chat with 3.22.6

Greetings,

I just upgraded my nodes to the latest 3.22.6 AREDN build and now my Pi based deployment of Meshchat is not working. I have reloaded the 1.02 API to my node as that is the version running on my Pi. Is 1.02 not compatable with the new Lua builds?

Thank you,

Keith - ai6bx

Just an idea - or a dream?

Dear all

Let me dream for a minute:

Service Discovery

Has anyone tried using the ubus interface on OpenWRT for things like service discovery of services on a node?

What about Consul?

I've used this a lot for work over the years. This would allow mesh networks to make it easier for services running in different parts of the mesh easier to find each other.

MeshChat not recieving

I feel like this issue has been addressed before but I couldn't find anything specific when I searched.

I have the MeshChat API loaded on a Mikrotik hAP ac lite (10.30.31.113) and the actual MeshChat app running on an Rpi 4.

I can send a message and it propagates to other nodes in the same zone on the mesh. The issue is I don't receive messages from any other nodes in the same zone.

I'm guessing I have a path or something not configured correctly but I don't know what to correct to fix it.

Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

TicketsCAD install on a RPI3

Tonight Robin was able to help me through the whole process of an install on an RPI3 - this the first how to I have seen.

MeshChat on Windows

This is probably a dumb question but can MeshChat be loaded on Windows instead of on an Rpi and the API loaded on the node?

Pi MeshChat Error Sending Message

We are trying to setup MeshChat on Raspberry Pi's and have 2 issues.
1: is the Error Sending Message: Could not get Lock.
2: We don't see chats from the same Zone as on the regular MeshChats

One of the Pi's is on a Pi2 and one is Pi3, both are running Jessie Stretch Desktop
Any help would appreciated

howto: meshchat on Mikrotik hAP using extra USB storage for files

Here is a general outline for setting up extra USB sorage for files, using the USB port on Mikrotik hAP.

You will need to be comfortable using command line and 'vi' editor, and able to follow (but not create) bash.  Internet and/or offline package cache needed.

Do not test this on a production device--make sure you have easy access for reflash if you mess up!
