IperfSpeed node list sort

Is there a way to sort the available node list in IperfSpeed?  There does not appear to be any particular "order" of stations in the list.  I'm thinking it would be preferred to have the list sorted alphabetically in order to be able to find the target(s) for testing.  New "feature" request?

TeamTalk lost everything

Hi, everyone,

I realize that TeamTalk is a third party application, but finding any forums or usable sources is a pain. So, I'm going to ask this here, in hopes that someone knows what to do.

I set up TeamTalk on a virtual machine with 60GB of disk space. No problem there, except I didn't specify a disk quota, so we weren't able to upload files. We created about 30 users and eight channels on the server. The channels were all designated as permanent... Fast forward to today.

Digital Certificates on Mesh

Hi, everyone,

We've set up a few servers (this is specifically discussing a MatterMost server though) on our mesh. The MatterMost is run on a Bitnami stack virtual machine. When our users try to go to the site, they get digital certificate errors (mainly if they try through IP Address, but also if you try to go to it by name. It redirects to the IP Address, and gives you the certificate warning.

MeshChat vs PrivateTmp

@K7FPV
Trevor, would you please change MeshChat to avoid conflicting with PrivateTmp (in recent versions of Linux)? I suggest changing the installed /usr/lib/cgi-bin/meshchatconfig.pm file to contain $meshchat_path = "/run/meshchat"; instead of /tmp/meshchat, as suggested here. It works for me.

Conflicts with PrivateTmp cause "Error Sending Message: Could not get Lock" in MeshChat, as reported here.

Wheelchair safety

I'm just starting to learn what AREDN is *(1) and would like to know if/how it can be used to connect:
myself in a power wheelchair *(2) to;
a mobile robot *(3) intended to stay in front of me and relay communication with non licensed people,
my radio equipped vehicle *(4) which has an e ink display in the window to show the last known APRS ping of my wheelchair and robot, and emergency contact info,

MeshChat Linux script

MeshChat may be the most used service in our local AREDN. And I use Linux a lot, so I did this simple script to read and send messages to the MeshChat. Can be downloaded from https://dropbox.com/s/xz2kgkw4clzodfn/meshchat.sh?dl=0 (no need to register to dropbox)

Please test my Rocket.Chat Server

I have installed a Rocket.Chat server on a Raspberry Pi which can be accessed both via the MESH and via the external Internet.  I see this as a potential communications bridge between non-hams and hams.  Of course there are other solutions (TeamTalk, Mumble, etc.).  I like this one because it requires no client apps to run - it works in the web browser.  And it is far better than MESHCHAT in many ways.  If you've never heard of Rocket.Chat, you can read about it here: https://rocket.chat/  (and note: ignore all the stuff about privacy - that doesn't apply

MeshChat Double File Entries on Raspberry Pi Installation

Hi folks,

I'm having an issue with a MeshChat installation on a Raspberry Pi4.  MeshChat chat is working just fine, this issue is with the files storage on the Pi.

First, our configuration:

3 instances of MeshChat as follows (all same name - AKMeshChat):

2 instances on a Ubiquiti M3 Rocket
1 instance on the RPi4

Team Talk 5

Rather than filling up the "what do you normally deploy " thread I though I would make another easily findable thread just for TT5

I have TT server installed on a pi on the mesh and can connect via my phone, my laptop etc.

One issue I have noted however is the TT client will not accept my MacBook Air intergrated webcam. None of the options will "initiate it"

New application: EmComMap

I'm pleased to announce the release of a new AREDN-ready emcomm application: EmComMap

This open-source application enables map-based real-time annotation, messaging, and file transfer.
It is designed for situational awareness while supporting communication, tactical calls, and operator
status/location sharing.

(sorry - I don't know how to make this bigger)
