Supporting Served Agency BYOD Fax machines or analog phones

Are Analog Telephone Adapters in common use for supporting Served Agency BYOD faxes and telephones ?
If so,  how many RF hops away will this be reliable?
i.e. what are the maximum ETX and minimum TxMbps numbers needed for reliable service?

As always TIA & 73,

mesh apps needs assessment

Medical Disaster

All,
I am looking for an example, presentation, or other detail of setting up or testing a MESH to support a medical disaster.  I have searched the forums and the net but not found anything.  We want to approach 2 regional hospitals with the idea to link them via a mesh network and provide emergency services in an emcomm situation.  Would like to show them an example of how it would work, what services could be provided, etc. Would be great to show if some other group has already set up a similar function.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Ron K7OPA

Google FORMS / DOCS / SHEETS Equiv. Internet Independent APP on MESH?

Does anyone know of or have a recommendation for application(s) that perform the functions of Google Sheets, Docs and Forms that work in a cloud environment that could be utilized on our MESH system independent of the Internet?

We currently use Google Sheets for our ICS Forms - Registration, Logging, etc. for our EMCOMM Exercises and we would like to transition to something that would work the same that we can deploy on a MESH system - that doesn't rely on the Internet. This would have REAL WORLD applications should we lose the function of the Internet.

A new method for communicating location data

From an article in the New York Times about providing postal services to nomadic Mongol citizens.

What3Words - use three distinct words to convey location data instead of street addresses or latitude/ longitude.

This approach may work well in stressful responses in unpopulated areas.

meshchat v0.7b7 released

Been busy with my startup company for a while but found some time to fix some bugs. I don't know of any remaining bugs so I think this is pretty close to a v1.0, but prove me wrong :).

This version is feature complete, just need to find remaining bugs.

meshchat v0.7b7 question

I'm experimenting with Mesh Chat on several nodes (3, to be exact) and a Raspberry Pi.

When a message is posted from one of the nodes, it migrates to the other 2 nodes, and to the Pi.

However, when a message is posted from the Pi, it stays on the Pi.

The same is true for the "Mesh Chat Users" window -- on the Pi, users from all nodes show up.  But the Pi does not show up in the other nodes.

So, there's communication TO the Pi from the nodes, but nothing FROM the Pi to nodes.

"Safe and Well" on a mesh?

First post, from a Mesh newbie, so please forgive me if I've posted in the wrong place :D

I'm wondering if there is, or has been considered, a "safe and well" type application which could be run on a local mesh, without the internet back haul ( at least temporarily) to the Red Cross, where the information could be collected locally, searched locally by the appropriate folks, and then perhaps distributed nationally/globaly via other links (winlink, internet, etc) when they come back online?

SDR on the mesh

OK I know it's not really a Emcomm Application but I have a RTL-SDR dongle connected to a Raspberry Pi on the mesh. I know this could just as easily be on the internet (well almost) but the main reason for putting it on the mesh is to create a reason for other locals to consider getting active on the mesh also.
