POE Switches on UBNT AREDN Devices

This is  a topic regarding use of the 802.3af capable POE switches and Ubiquiti devices with AREDN Firmware.  I noticed that the Rocket supports 802.3af and possibly other UBNT devices as well.  My questions:

1. Is 802.3af POE supported using the AREDN Firmware?  Is this feature built into the hardware by nature and is this capability lost when we set these nodes up for MESH?

2. If it does work, has anyone analyzed and put together a matrix chart showing which AREDN supported devices will work with 802.3af?

NSM3 Vendor?

Forums:
I lost my note - who's the vendor who will sell the Ubiquiti NSM3s to stateside hams?

Thanks.

Difficulty flashing my AirRouter-HP

Forums:
I am unable to bring up the airOS page.

My home has TWC cable attached to a simple Netgear router.  The router is not strong enough to cover the house so I have a Netgear  extender.  The wifi signal is great and has served me well in the past and I have flashed a Bullet, an airGrid, and a Rocket with the same laptop.

GS105Ev2 - incorrect password after config restore

I applied the switch configuration file (GS105Ev2_2-2-1.cgf) successfully but after trying to come back in to the Netgear configuration utility (and selecting the switch and hitting 'Apply') I am getting an 'Incorrect Password' error.  (password entered = aredn)  I feel I am just making a stupid rookie mistake but cant figure it out.  Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Newbie alert

Hi,

I need help configuring a Ubiquity 8 port Tough switch for use in a mobile deployment situation.  I am an Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon and have very little expertise with computers and networking.  We are just getting started in my area.

TPLINK

Forums:
Hi Guys,
Just attempted the firmware install on the TPlINK and its on there , it gave me the option to re-name it and create new passwords and SAVE. After that its disapeered and I cannot for the life of me get the Network adapter to reassign a DHCP IP to the device.

Anyone had the same or can suggest a solution.

Thanks

Can a WRT54G do VLAN switching?

Since many of us have acquired quite a few WRT54G/S/L routers, what's the possibility of flashing DD-WRT on them and pressing them into service as a "poor man's" 100Mb managed switch? I'm a novice at VLAN's and such, but I've been reading several articles, including this one titled: 802.1q trunking on the Linksys WRT54G/S/L with DD-WRT and it seems like ALL models of WRT's (not just BBHN compatible ones) are capable of VLAN tagging.

Nanobeam M2?

Forums:
The Supported Platform Matrix claims that there's no 2.4ghz version of the NanoBeam, but I see one here. Would I be able to flash the firmware listed for "NanoStation M2/NanoStation M3/NanoStation M5 (XM)/NanoBridge M3" onto it?

AirRouter HP installtion issues

Forums:
We just encountered an issue with "older" AirRouter units MFG Codes 1503G and 1436G - Came with UBNT XM 5.5.8 Firmware.  Attempted to update to UBNT XM 5.5.11 (from the UBNT AirRouter Firmware area) and received a "firmware image check failed. error code -6).  One of these units was purchased used and the other one was fresh "new in the box" from a dealer delivered today.
