Setting up Winlink Post Office on MESH

Forums:
An additional feature that can serve a useful purpose on MESH networks is the establishment of a WINLINK Post Office.  It's simple to set up and publish as an available resource on your node.  You will need to install RMS RELAY on a connected Windows computer.  We have many Post Office stations on the Southmesh system.  Maximum file size limit is currently 5MB per message as compared to the 100KB limitation on HF and PACKET RMS stations.

If you need help setting one up, just drop me a note and we can get started!

Pat GUI: How to do a message exchange session with an AREDN-connected WInlink gateway

Forums:
I have the Winlink client software, Pat, installed on an Ubuntu system, connected only to our local AREDN mesh. We have the K7CPU-10 Winlink gateway connected to our AREDN mesh segment.  I can poll the gateway from the command line with "pat connect telnet k7cpu-rms-gateway.local.mesh", but I can't figure out how to configure the Pat GUI to do the same.  It seems to want to telnet the CMS only.

Any suggestions on what the Pat GUI exchange settings should be?

Thank you, and 73s,

State Forum

Forums:
How does a new state get listed in the forums.  It is time for Wisconsin to get in as some state ARES/RACES members want too start experimenting with Winlink through AREDN.

Querying for Post Office nodes...

Forums:
Greetings,

I'm investigating adding support for AREDN to WoAD, a Winlink client for Android devices (woad.sumusltd.com).
Currently I'm working on querying for the list of nodes running a Telnet Post Office (RMS Relay).
