Unable to get an Internet connection from cable modem
I'm using an Ubiquiti AirRouter HP to provide Internet access to my node.  However, despite having an IP address from my router, it is not providing Internet service.  It is connected directly to my cable modem via Ethernet, but the Internet is just not available.

I'm told that I need to configure it as a bridge adapter, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that in the AREDN software.

Unable to get internet
Are you trying this with a computer attached to Ports 1-3 on your AirRouter?  If from another attached node via RF, make sure that the Gateway box is checked,  on the node that is connected to your internet source.save and reboot. Of course make sure that you have the WAN port of your AirRouter connected to your internet source.  WAN set to DHCP (preferred) or STATIC to an addy available from the internet router.

Everything is wired right now
Everything is wired right now.  RF is not a part of the system at the moment.

The WAN port of my AirRouter is connected to my Internet source (through a POE adapter--my router does not provide power over Ethernet).  It worked fine with the stock AirOS firmware.

The computer is connected to Ethernet port 1 on the AirRouter.  It cannot even get an IP address via DHCP from the router.  Using that wired connection gets me nowhere.

The router *is* visible on the rest of my home network (that is, through my cable router).

Addendum: getting a wired
Addendum: getting a wired Internet connection seems to work fine on Windows, but not on my Mac.  Unfortunately, that Windows laptop is not mine.

Check your Computer ethernet port settings
Check and make sure that your laptop/computer ethernet port is set to DHCP - not a fixed IP addy.  It should pick up a 10.xx addy from your AirRouter.

It always was DHCP.
It always was DHCP.

My problem was a badly configured Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter.  I had to delete it and re-add it.  And the Internet problems were due to losing the physical link layer between the cable modem and the AirRouter.

Pretty much everything works on wires now.  I still need to figure out to do things over RF.

Mac issues
So I got a DHCP lease from the AirRouter by deleting and recreating the Thunderbolt adapter.  It does not, however, appear to have the ability to access the Internet.

This is unlike the Windows computer, which had no problem accessing the Internet off the same cable.
