Ubiquiti Bullet M5
I have a Ubiquiti Bullet M5 with stock UBNT firmware. I have a 7dbi omni antenna that I know works. The unit will does not transmit, at least according to my 5.8 GHz-capable tablet. I upgraded to the latest 5.5.x UBNT firmware and I got a signal from it for about 15 seconds then it was gone.

Is the unit bad or flaky? I've had it for some time but this is the first time I've connected it up and tested it. The other question is would putting the Aredn firmware correct the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that information
Thanks for that information. That was the problem. Of course if I had flashed it to Aredn, that would have resolved it also but defeated my purpose at this time.

Thanks again.
