This anomaly has been occurring for at least a few months or more, but I’m just submitting it now. This has been occurring with the babel nightly builds as we’ve been using them at least since the last regular release or two. Don’t know if this is occurring with the latest release as all the nodes I use or our group uses are babel only nightly’s. The current build used is babel-20251020.
The issue is: We have set up cameras in Local Services using both HTTP and RTSP (Use VLC to view) and have been doing this for years. Lately, however, UNLESS LOGGED IN, the RTSP local service listing does not show. Once logged in, it shows and its link can be used to view the camera in VLC. I’ve removed the service, reestablished it, and it shows for maybe 6 hours, then if the page is refreshed, RTSP does not show again unless logged in OR some change is made then committed to the camera service like changing the icon from video to camera.
This is occurring on at least 4 different devices: A Powerbeam M5-400, a Powerbeam 5AC-400, and two Rocket M3’s.
Attached is how the camera is set up in local services on one of the nodes. One pic shows when logged in, the other when not.
I do know that using the old UI, this never occurred BUT I don’t know exactly when or what version of the new UI this issue started.
Wonder if anyone else has experienced this?
