Ubiquiti Rocket M5 in boot loop
Hi,

For some time now we have been struggling with the connection to one of our remote nodes. Yesterday we found the reason, we noticed that the Ubiquiti Rocket M (with firmware 3.25.5.1) constantly reboots after a 7 to 10 minutes uptime (boot loop). In order not to disturb the network any longer, we switched it off.
This morning my colleague noticed exactly the same thing at a second, recently installed remote site, again it is a Rocket M, this time with firmware 3.25.2.0, also in a boot loop.
The two Rockets are old, but they are not from the same series. It can't be a coincidence that two of them have the same problem...is it possible that there is a problem with the firmware 3.25.x.x. for the Rocket M?

I don't think so..

My observation is no.  I have two very old Rocket M5 nodes that are working fine.  Also three old Rocket M3 nodes that are working fine.

Update: looks like a hardware
Update: looks like a hardware watchdog problem, maybe related to the dtd connection. We found now 3 different nodes having the same problem, two of them are Rocket M, one is a Nanobridge, and all of them are dtd connected to another node. Once the watchdog is deactivated, the node runs normal, no reboot. Update to the latest nightly didn't help.

I've opened a ticket for this problem.

I also had issues with bad
I also had issues with bad routing on some brand new Rocket M5ac devices (see post re OLSR v Babel 6/25).  Reading your post on this thread made me try undoing the Watchdog, and immediately the routing issue with nodes not showing up on Babel and the network speed went way up.  There is something definitely amiss with 3.25.5.1 and Rocket M5 devices.
