Anyone interested in AREDN? If you are, please reply to this post and let's get something going. I have a node up in OKC and to my knowledge it's the first one. I have some ideas and have done some research but we need to get together and discuss what needs to be done.

I spent a good number of weeks in OKC late last year, didn't take a node with me however since I couldn't find anyone else who had mesh there.
Congratulation on starting up a mesh!
Thanks

Currently there are three nodes in Oklahoma City. I have two nodes and WD5G has one. My Airrouter is running Meshchat, Winlink, a webserver, IP camera and an Openspot. I also have a Nanostation up at 35 feet. WD5G has an Airrouter tunneled to me. For more information, please contact me at aa5kd@arrl.net.

I would love to get together with you and bring WD5G with me. I am giving a presentation at our HamHoliday on the 22nd of July. You can reach me at 405-255-8065 or on the local repeaters 443.275 FM or DN or 147.21 PL 141.3. I work until 15:00 everyday so anytime after that.
I've got tommorow night and Thursday night avaliable (I fly out midday Friday)
Currently we have two Bullet M2 and one Nanobridge M2 for testing - I'm working on making one Bullet a gateway and the other a node as I type this so that I can test coverage and produce a map as proof of concept to the very skeptical local ham community (they tried with the original WRT gear and got frustrated that it didn't go more than 10 metres).
Hopefully I can get this first step running without having to ask for too much help and then it will explode from there..

We have our first OKC backbone node up on the Sandridge building southeast corner pointing southeast. I can see it from my QTH but two-way comm is not working. Norman should be putting a node on soon. If you would like more info you can email me @ dangles1@cox.net or reply to this post.

Duane,
I have some radios I am working on, how are things for going north. I have two LDF 5's' that I bought to link my DMR repeater once I find a place to put it. At present it is at home. I am still battling with the LDF5 radios, they are linked but not passing IP addresses. We need to get a node going in Edmond.

Oklahoma City finally has a good start on an AREDN mesh. We have three radios on the top of the Sandridge building @ 393 feet. One radio is a Rocket M5 with a 120 degree sector antenna pointed north, a Lightbeam M5 pointed south and a Rocket M5 with a 120 degree sector antenna pointed southeast. The south radio is connected to N5HZR in Norman, the southeast radio is connected to AA5KD in southeast OKC. There are no connections to the north as of yet but the Oklahoma County EOC will connect soon. We have come a long way in 5 years and things will only get better. We have a plan and it is progressing finally. If you are interested in AREDN, please let me know.
TORKS has room for a tower and solar power.
What do you guys think?
