Hi Guys

today I received my new NanoStationLocoM5. I could not wait, and started to get the AREDN Software on the Device. I chose the aredn-3.19.3.0.ubnt-rocket-m-xw-factory.bin. Now I am not sure if this the right firmware. I searched not the forum because i think this is a special problem

I describe my steps.

I am using an Ubuntu. I installed the tftp and conetcted to the 192.168.1.20. followed the manual and copied the file. Her e my output :

tftp> bin

tftp> trace on

Packet tracing on.

tftp> put aredn-3.19.3.0-ubnt-rocket-m-xw-factory.bin

It did not worked i assumed, and startet the process again. But now I can not connect to the 192.168.1.20

Did I jammed the Firmware? Has anyone an Idear. Is there a possibity to get to the device? I can put it in the Blinking mode for the tfpt but it do not answer. If

if I recyle the Power the Green LED is on an the Lan LED is blinking the others are of. the Nano is not responding on 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.20

Thanks for the Help.

The NanoStation Loco M5 uses the Bullet image, not the Rocket.  Use aredn-3.19.3.0-ubnt-bullet-m-factory.bin

Gerold,     Best to confirm
Gerold,     Best to confirm which model you have, this may be the unknown still.    Ubiquiti is making it challenging for the opensource community with this model.  There are 3 possible images for a loco M5. If the device is still booting with AirOS, then the firmware version will say ether "XM" or "XW", otherwise have to guess or open the case to inspect chipsets.   No worries, if you get it wrong, you won't brick it, just doesn't work, try another flavor of the firmware.

XM:   As Andre indicated - aredn-3.19.3.0-ubnt-bullet-m-factory.bin
XW:  As Chuck indicated - aredn-3.19.3.0-ubnt-rocket-m-xw-factory.bin -- if test date on box label is after ~Nov 2017
XW:  aredn-3.19.3.0-ubnt-loco-xw-factory.bin -- if test date on box label is before ~Nov 2017
