Woohoo! Got my license!
Hello everyone, long time lurker here. Finally was able to find a local club nearby that offered testing. Been viewing the forums for weeks and now that my callsign was posted I could register. Just wanted to say hello and say this project was one of the reasons I decided to get my license and look forward to actually contributing rather than just viewing going forward. So many questions and a ton to learn still hopefully excitement does not get the better of me.

Welcome to the hobby
Welcome to amateur radio!  You will find many different aspects of this hobby to try out.  I’ve been licensed for 42 years and have done MANY different things.  It also got me into my career - I’ve been running large Motorola trucked radio systems for almost 25 years.

Congratulations!
You'll enjoy this great hobby!   There are SO many "sub-hobbites" to explore that it would take a lifetime to try them all.   But this one is a great blend of radios and computers.   I'm sure you'll have a blast with it as we are!

Always great to get new hams on board, especially with networks such as AREDN.
As you are probably aware, amateur radio is an ever evolving hobby, and there's something for everyone.
Find your interest, and dig in!
