wifi with windows 7
I can't get my PC (WiFi) running Windows 7 to find my GL-AR150. If plugged into the LAN port I can find it just fine but nothing is visible on WiFi. Anyone lese have this issue.

Is this rephrase accurate?
My Windows 7 PC's Wi-Fi adapter's Wi-Fi Scan does not find my (flashed with AREDN firmware) Gl-iNet AR-150.

Two things come to mind.

  • A default install of AREDN firmware on a 2.4 GHz device will leave it set as an 'ad hoc' AREDN mesh node on channel '-2' with 10 MHz bandwidth.
  • A computer's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi adapter only scans for
    • Access Points (APs) and
    • only on channels 1 through 11 at 20 MHz bandwidth.

I hope this helps,
Chuck
